Will was heavily criticised for lashing out at the comedian simply because he had made a joke about his wife Jada Pinkett Smith’s hair loss. Although Chris has refused to file charges, Kenny does not seem to want to let this go.
And in an attempt to get his own back, a boxing match would make sense. Kenny has, after all, apparently signed a deal involving Damon Feldman to have a celebrity boxing bout. And with the opponent still yet to be finalised, Kenny called out Will.
In an interview with TMZ, he said: “I should get in the ring with Will Smith. No ifs, ands or buts about it. I’ll let the hands do the talking.”
It is not exactly clear whether Kenny’s comments were made in jest, but one thing for sure is that there would be a significant demand for this.
The rise of YouTubers crossing over into the boxing world has opened up the opportunity for other content creators to do the same.
And with people feeling that Will had not been punished enough for his actions, this could be a perfect way for the fans to see the actor face the heat. Whether this does end up going ahead is anyone’s guess.
But in the meantime, the most important thing is making sure that Chris is doing fine. And by the looks of it, he is now in a good place. Kenny added: “He’s doing great. I haven’t seen him, but we’ve talked.”
The response on social media was mixed. While people did acknowledge that this would generate a lot of hype, it was equally seen as a way for Kenny to make a quick buck. One person wrote: “They just want to make money off it now.”
