The war between Russia and Ukraine has put much attention on the leaders of both countries. Many newsletters, articles, and TV shows have turned this situation into the most popular happening of the 21st century. Leading roles in this show have the president Vladimir Putin and the president Volodimir Zelensky.
To give you a mental picture of how big this happening is – this conflict was looked at as a possible spark that will start World War III. Thank God, until now the situation has not evolved in such dimensions.
How Much Money Does Putin Have?
Most of the media-covered topics are regarding the actual war. However, some researchers have been digging deeper and tried to unveil the greatest secrets of the people in charge.
Volodimir Zelensky, as a past public figure from the show business, is not so interesting to look at. He came onto the political scene of Ukraine ‘as a joke’. Following his act as the president in a TV show. Zelensky has numerous gaffes and public appearances where he dresses in heels and latex costumes.
And even has a video where he plays on a piano – with his penis. Can we say something that will bring the president lower than this? I doubt so.
Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin is the one that attracts more attention at this point. The Russian leader is more secretive and mysterious than his opposing side.
The public is not aware of the net worth of Russian President Vladimir Putin. With this bombshell, we shall begin.
Putin claims that his annual income is not more than $140k and that he only owns an 80-square-meter apartment, three cars, and a trailer. Isn’t he a humble statesman?
Putin, being on the front of the political scene in Russia for over 20 years, is one of the longest-reigning leaders in the history of the democratic world. Each election he finds a way to bend the situation and prolong his reign for an additional mandate.
It is obvious that he enjoys having power. However, little is known about what amount of money is hiding behind the world’s most feared leader.
“Putin is probably the richest man in the world. He has these palatial residences –that’s really what got people in trouble in Russia because they showed the arrogance of the wealth, with which he lived.” – the California Democrat Nancy Pelosi said.
Many media are backing up these claims. They claim, from unofficial sources that his wealth is well above $200 billion. That he lives like a monarch and shits in golden toilets.
Nevertheless, every time the phrase ‘unofficial sources’ is used I get very suspicious of the relevancy of the information. That’s why we decided to look deeper into this and analyze it thoroughly.
When you are a president of a country it is really hard to tell whether the riches you enjoy are solely yours. Because they can easily be the country’s riches that you happen to be able to use. That’s why in the following text we will refer to his real estate possessions as undefined between his owning or Russian possession.
The President owns (or uses) a Black sea mansion known under the name of ‘Putin’s Country Cottage’. The worth of this mansion is more than $1 billion. He uses this as his playground, organizing parties, cocktails, musical happenings, and gatherings.
Swimming pools, marble statues, a guest house, several spas, an amphitheater, an ice podium for hockey or other ice sports, etc – All these are allegedly a part of the luxurious mansion.
The construction of this mansion cost $1.4 billion only. The Russian national project called ‘Health’ is the laundering machine that laundered the money needed for building this mansion.
Aside from the luxurious mansion, he apparently is using numerous aircrafts, helicopters, and cars, This is totaling a little more than $1 billion. Taking into consideration that only the ‘Flying Kremlin’ as they call it – an airplane used for luxurious travels, equipped with the most luxurious inventory and topping off all that with a golden toilet – costs above $700 million. Coupled with this is his luxury yacht, casting more than $100 million.
Lastly, and probably most importantly – we have this blackmailing of Russian oligarchs.
“After Khodorkovsky’s conviction, the other oligarchs went to Putin. They asked him what they needed to do to avoid sitting in the same cage as Khodorkovsky. From what followed, it appeared that Putin’s answer was, “50%”. He wasn’t saying 50% for the Russian government or the presidential administration of Russia. But 50% for Vladimir Putin personally.” – as Bill Browder says.
Now, if this happens to be true, then it should be enough for us to assume that his net worth is calculated in billions. In 2015, the collective worth of all oligarchs in Russia was something above $800 billion. If he collected half of this for himself then it is evident that he is one of the richest men on the planet.
However, Putin, the gentleman that he is, says that his riches are not measured in dollars. They are measured in emotions and trust. He has the people of Russia believe in him for a period longer than 20 years.
“I am the wealthiest man, not just in Europe but in the whole world: I collect emotions. My wealth is in that the people of Russia have twice entrusted me with the leadership of a great nation such as Russia. I believe that is my greatest wealth.” – President Putin said.
Is this true? Does he only make $140 000 annually? What are your thoughts on this?
