In news that surprised no one but is still random all the same, Steven Seagal turned out to be no fun to film with, according to John Leguizamo.
John Leguizamo: “No One Has” Had a Good Time Filming with Steven Seagal
The To Wong Foo star recently talked with The New York Post and eventually, the discussion came to the claimed 1996 thriller Executive Decision. The film starred Leguizamo, Seagal, Kurt Russell, and Halle Berry, and had renowned martial arts champion, wrestler, and stuntman “Judo” Gene LeBell on as a stunt coordinator.
On the Under Siege star John Leguizamo said “Yeah, I did not have a good time with Steven Seagal. No one has.” Leguizamo went on to talk about Seagal’s behavior on set bullying stuntmen. He also got into how LeBell had to step in and check his co-star star of the film.
“Gene LeBell, the most famous stunt man in Hollywood, was in a movie with him and [Seagal] kept hitting the stuntmen on purpose,” Leguizamo began. Already, this story is off to a bad start for the aikido master.
“Gene said, ‘Don’t do that to my boys because they can’t hit you back, it’s not fair.’ So he did it again and Gene put him in a chokehold and said, ‘You ever do that I’m going to choke you to death.’ He never did it again.”

LeBell would touch on the story with The MMA Hour in 2012 and said:
“Well, if a guy soils himself, you can’t criticize him, because if they just had a nice big dinner an hour before, you might have a tendency to do that.”
Mind you, there’s a lengthy list of actors, directors, and other celebrities who also didn’t care for Seagal such as Liam Neeson, Rachel Grant, and Jean-Claude Van Damm to name a few. Also, this is the same film where Leguizamo was struck by Seagal for laughing on the set.
