Oscars producer, Will Packer has shared his views on the astonishing event between Hollywood star, Will Smith and Superstar Comedian, Chris Rock. Will Smith has come under intense criticism after he hit Chris for throwing jabs at his spouse, Jada Pinkett Smith during the Oscars. The talented actor shocked the audience by swearing at Chris, who was the host of the epic event.

Speaking on a recent TV show, Oscars producer Packer said, “It was like somebody poured concrete in that room. It sucked the life out of that room and it never came back.” The producer also added that everyone at the show and those watching online were astonished by Smith’s actions. Mr. Packer also heaped some compliments on Chris.
He claimed that his reaction to the entire event saved the night. The film producer said, “I think he [saved the show with his composed reaction]. He certainly saved what was left of that night. Because Chris handled the moment with such grace and aplomb, it allowed the show to go on.”
The producer also disclosed that Los Angeles police were on stand-by to capture Mr. Smith. However, Chris Rock intervened and prevented Smith from getting detained on the charges of battery. He said, “They were laying out the options, and as they were talking, Chris was being very dismissive of those options. He was like, ‘No, I’m fine.’ He was like, ‘No, no, no.'”
Despite clinching the Best Actor award a moment after he hit Chris, Will Smith’s actions stole the spotlight of the show. His action attracted countless criticism from numerous people all over the globe. Some fans even claimed that he should be stripped of his award. Meanwhile, the Academy has confirmed that they are revising the incident and Mr. Smith may reportedly lose his Oscars award as punishment.
