Selling Sunset’s Emma Hernan Clarifies Her Comments After Conflicting Reports Over Whether Ben Affleck Asked Her Out On A Dating App
Emma, for her part, had initially informed Chrishell Stause that the Hollywood actor had messaged her by commenting on their mutual connection to Boston.
And as part of that process, Emma had allegedly claimed that the actor may or may not have asked her out for coffee. While that may have been the case, sources representing Ben denied things to the contrary.
After all, he is now happily engaged to Jennifer Lopez and would not want anything to come between that. But in order to set the record straight over what had happened, Emma provided some much-needed context.
In an interview with E! News’ Daily Pop, Emma revealed how their interaction was a long time ago. She said: “It was not recent. This was 2019. Literally, the smallest, innocent little thing. … [It] blew up out of proportion.”
If these comments are taken to be true, then they are significant for the following reasons. First of all, this could clearly be seen as an attempt by Emma to generate publicity.
By not mentioning the exact timing of when this had happened on the show, it invariably led to speculation given how relevant Bennifer is now.
Secondly, the main reason why this was blown out of proportion was because of Emma’s handling of it. There was no reason for her to come out with this on the show, and by doing it, she knew that there was going to be a reaction.
Her following comments hinted as much: “I think on the show, you didn’t see the timeframe and it just seemed worse. And it was literally the smallest thing. End of story. We’re shutting that one down now.”
Hopefully, this can now be put to bed as everybody involved can move on with their respective lives. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
