When Io Shirai & Kay Lee Ray gave up their chance to go for the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships, Gigi Dolin & Jacy Jayne assumed they could just take the night off at Stand & Deliver. They have beaten everyone else in the division… except for one team. Dakota Kai might have teamed with Wendy Choo in the tournament, but during their matches – she learned to trust again, and that led to her rekindling her friendship with Raquel Gonzalez. Now, the first ever NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions are back.
Dakota Kai & Raquel Gonzalez Are Firmly Back On The Same Page
Jayne would go right after the previously injured knee of Gonzalez, but was quickly sent outside of the ring. Dolin would go for the sneak attack, but was tossed onto the top rope before Kai would be assisted in a big double stomp. Kai would be rolled up for a one count, before getting a Crucifix for a near fall of her own.
Dolin would get the European Clutch, before Kai kicked out. Gonzalez would get the tag and set Dolin up on her shoulders. Kai tagged in, kicked Dolin in the head and Gonzalez spun her out. Dolin would get the tag to Jayne who nailed a fast neckbreaker. Toxic Attraction started making those quick tags, with Dolin nailing some Kawada Kicks.
Kai would get the tag to Gonzalez, who would rush Jayne down before the twisting Vader Bomb in the corner. Jayne was up on the top rope, and Kai nailed the Spider Suplex – with Dolin able to save the match. Both ladies went for pump kicks, causing a double down.
Toxic Attraction would nail a set of German Suplexes before Toxic Shock for a two count. Wendy Choo made her return and threw her drink at Dolin, before Gonzalez hit the big boot. Kai hit the Scorpion Kick, the Helluva Kick, and the One Armed Powerbomb means new champions!
Five Man Chaos In North American Championship Ladder Match
Carmelo Hayes claims to not only be the NXT North American Champion, but also the A-Champion in NXT 2.0. Tonight, he takes on four other men in a ladder match – with the North American Championship hanging high above the ring. Solo Sikoa, Grayson Waller, Cameron Grimes and Santos Escobar are all ready to rise to the occasion, and truly anyone could leave tonight with gold around their waist.
Hayes would talk some talk to start this match, and Trick Williams would pull him out of the ring. Grimes would take the fight to Escobar with some forearm smashes and a running boot, before Hayes sent Grimes to the outside. Williams was unable to get Hayes a ladder, but Sikoa would meet Hayes – but got sent outside.
Escobar nailed a dropkick to Hayes, before Hayes was pingpongged with strikes from Grimes & Sikoa. Waller would get Sanga to grab him a ladder, while Legado Del Fantasma put one in for Escobar. Escobar was dropped and Sanga would beat down Sikoa when attacked on the outside. Grimes & Sikoa took Sanga down, before Escobar hit the Arrow From The Depths Of Hell.
Hayes would see Grimes dive next, before nailing a perfect Asai Moonsault. Waller would get a ladder set up, but Sikoa would stop his climb and throw him face first into the steel. Waller, Hayes, Escobar and a few ladders were set up in the corner, and Sikoa would crush them all with a running hip attack.
Solo Sikoa Takes Insane Bump
Sikoa would buckle the knees to Grimes with a headbutt, only to miss a kick and take the enziguri. Grimes would wipe Hayes out with a ladder, before Escobar would use it to drop Grimes & Waller. Escobar started his climb, but a jumping cutter would take Escobar down. Waller would start his climb, but a springboard lariat from Hayes took him down.
Sikoa would take Hayes out of the sky on the second springboard attempt, but Escobar would meet him on the climb. A sunset bomb onto the ladder in the corner might have ended the night for Sikoa, and even Escobar was shocked by this. Jumping high knee was met by a standing Spanish Fly from Grimes.
Williams tried to step up a ladder, but Sanga would destroy the ladder. Elektra Lopez distracted while Joaquin Wilde & Raul Mendoza dropped Sanga, before Lopez dove onto Waller. Sanga was sandwiched with ladder, and two dropkicks might have ended his night. Sikoa was somehow back up, and hit a double Wasteland on Wilde & Mendoza.
Cameron Grimes Achieves His Destiny
Escobar would join Sikoa on the climb, but Trick Williams made the save. He’d start the climb himself, but was scared of heights. Grimes would tip the ladder, sending Williams to the floor. Hayes drove Grimes face first into the ladder, before calling his shot. Waller tried to stop him, and suddenly more ladders joined the fray.
Three ladders and five men, with Grimes & Sikoa falling first. Escobar & Hayes would follow, but Waller took a second to decide to take a risk or go for gold – and missed his shot. Escobar took him down with a superana off the ladder, before Sikoa hit the flying splash.
Grimes & Sikoa would clash in the ring, with Grimes taking him down. Hayes met Grimes on the apron, before Waller would look to go viral with a elbow drop that got nothing but ladder thanks to Trick Williams. Hayes would be able to get to the ring, but took Phantom Driver. Grimes nailed the cave in – and rushed up the ladder for the WIN!
