Hello and welcome to WWE Raw Live Results!
This should be an interesting show as Roman Reigns debuts as the Undisputed WWE Champion after defeating Brock Lesnar, Veer will make his Raw debut after 6 months of anticipation, and Cody Rhodes returns to reclaim his name.
There should be plenty of excitement tonight, and we’ll be back at the 8 p.m. EST start time to kick off WWE Raw Live Results.
Segment 1
Cody Rhodes gave a heartfelt speech about what Dusty Rhodes and promised to win the WWE Champion for him and the fans. Seth Rollins came out, but instead of a confrontation they shook hands.
Segment 2
Championship Contenders Match – Sasha Banks and Naomi vs. Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan
Ripley started it out in command, but after a round of flips taking everyone out on the floor, Naomi went for a pin attempt as we headed to commercial.
Segment 3
This was a decent match that ended with Naomi and Banks hitting a double team jawbreaker on Liv for the win.
A frustrated Ripley left Liv in the ring, so they’re going to break up soon.
Segment 4
Elias returned as Ezekiel, a clean shaven younger brother of Elias and drove Kevin Owens crazy after Owens proclaimed himself one of the greatest in WWE history.
Segment 5
Dominik Mysterio w/Rey Mysterio vs. The Miz
Miz won with a Skull Crushing Finale in less than 5 minutes. Veer Mahal came out and destroyed the Mysterios, locking in a Cervical Clutch on Dom until he was ready to release him.
Segment 6
Bianca Belair gave an impassioned speech about understanding what the women’s title means and that she’ll be the best champion she can be. The fans were lukewarm and the quietest of the night for whatever reason.
Segment 7
NXT Championship – Dolph Ziggler (c) w/Robert Roode vs. Bron Breakker
Breakker started off strong, but Ziggler managed to survive and press his advantage by dropkicking Breakker off the top rope and to the floor as we headed to commercial.
Segment 8
This was a pretty good match Breakker won with a press powerslam for the win.
Segment 9
Omos came out to interrupt Bobby Lashley’s recap of their match and demanded a rematch. MVP turned on Lashley and knocked him into Omos and he and Omos wrecked Lashley.
Guess who’s turned face?
Segment 10
Queen Zelina attacked Carmella for costing them the tag titles, and Corey comforted Carmella.
Segment 11
RK-Bro (Randy Orton, Riddle) and Finn Balor vs. The Usos (Jey, Jimmy) and Austin Theory
This started off pretty steady with Riddle clearing the apron, but Theory swept his leg on the apron as we headed to commercial.
Segment 12
This one ended quick as everyone got their shots in before Theory ended it with a pin on Balor, a selfie, and a celebration with the Usos.
Segment 13
Edge welcomed Damian Priest to his conclave as his punishment to those that question his message. AJ Styles came out and faced them both, but he was overpowered and they were going to his a con-chair-t0 but the officials came out to stop them.
Segment 14
The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins, Montez Ford) vs. Alpha Academy (Chad Gable, Otis)
After Gable and Otis attacked before the bell, Adam Pearce made it a Texas Tornado Tag Match. Ford took everyone out with a dive over the corner to the floor, but Otis hit a splash on Dawkins for a pin attempt as we headed to commercial.
Segment 15
Ford finished the match by putting Gable through a table with a From the Heavens for the win.
Segment 16
After Paul Heyman listed the WWE’s financial windfalls this year, including being the first sports entertainment company to earn $1 billion, Reigns took over.
He said he’s a man of his word and smashed Brock Lesnar (no mention he had to cheat as always), and that he’s a progressive Trible Chief and will let us know what’s next on Smackdown.
This was a weird show as they fans were quiet or checked out through most of it, and in a business where connecting with the fans is important that’s a curious thing.
The matches felt too fast and rushed and Cody’s debut on Raw was underwhelming as he came across expectant with a semi-quiet crowd.
Definitely not what we were expecting. What did you think of it? Let us know in the comments below and thank you for joining WWE Raw Live Results. We had a blast hanging out and can’t wait to see you all next week.
See you then!
