A$AP Rocky Ditches Los Angeles Home Weeks After Police Search for Gun Used in Shooting
The move went down on Tuesday, May 10, 2022—weeks after the search warrant was issued on the property. Law enforcement was searching for the weapon used in a November 2021 shooting in Hollywood. The belief is that A$AP Rocky was involved in a disagreement that turned violent and that he had possession of the firearm.
Fortunately, the victim was only grazed in the altercation. However, it appears that the police have reason to believe that the Long. Live. ASAP artist was involved and that came to a head with Rocky’s arrest after returning from Barbados with Rihanna. Their search of his property turned up several guns which were OK’d as being purchased legally and registered.
So, what’s the next move for police now that A$AP Rocky is moving out? Apparently, they are in possession of a video from the shooting in November 2021. If the video quality is good enough to make a good identification of the suspect, this situation could swing in either direction for the 33-year-old rapper.
That would hinge on prosecutors giving the thumbs up to the footage as strong enough evidence. It’s the difference between suspects merely matching the description and a clear identification such as in the Pooh Shiety Miami shooting.
