Eddie Kingston thought that AEW Revolution was the big one. He met Chris Jericho in the opening match, and tapped him out clean with the Stretch Plum. However, this loss would simply send Chris Jericho off the deep end. Suddenly, Jericho would break up The Inner Circle to form the Jericho Appreciation Society, and wage war on Eddie Kingston, Santana & Ortiz.
He’s even started throwing fireballs at people and calling himself a wizard. However tonight, he better trust in his new allies – because Eddie Kingston, Santana, Ortiz, and two members of Blackpool Combat Club with Jon Moxley & Bryan Danielson are all here.
It’s Anarchy In The Arena, and this is going to be a dangerous fight for sure. Justin Roberts said it best, shits about to hit the fan. There’s no rules, ten men, and a lot of violence to come.
Anarchy In The Arena Lives Up To The Hype
This all out brawl would start in the middle of the ring, while Wild Thing still blasting on the speakers. Kingston went after Jericho, Moxley after Mernard, Parker with Danielson , and who knows where the other four went. Wild Thing looped through and restarted, as Moxley stabbed Menard with a fork.
Kingston had blood on him, origin – forehead of Matt Menard. Moxley choked Jericho on a scooter, while Santana & Ortiz hit a double suplex on Hager. Ortiz got a near fall, and Wild Thing stopped when the soundboard was pulled out by Jericho. The crowd was upset, but the crazy brawl continued.
Street Sweeper through a table at ringside would crush Hager, and Menard was mixing mustard and blood as he brawled with Kingston. Garcia finally appeared and hit a piledriver onto the steel steps. Parker had his face smashed off a camera by Danielson. Kingston was thrown into the merch stand, and buried underneath.
Jericho took a knee drop to the back, as Garcia went to aid Menard. Fans gathered as Kingston & Garica brawled. Jericho looked for the Liontamer on a table before it collapsed. Kingston would be thrown into a wall, and Moxley locked in a figure four.
Enough Was Enough
Danielson went after Hager, as Moxley looked to create a weapon by removing the turnbuckle. Hager hit a suplex onto the ramp, as Moxley used the turnbuckle to attack Jericho. Kingston & Garcia fought in an elevator, while Moxley whipped Jericho with a turnbuckle. It was unclear where Garcia & Kingston went, but Menard & Parker were on tables as Santana & Ortiz grabbed a ladder.
Moxley found a barbed wire board, while Hager applied a wrestling hold in the ring. Santana & Ortiz dove off the very tall ladder through the tables. Moxley & Danielson would hit some strikes in the ring, the Hammer & Anvil Elbows on Hager & Jericho.
Eddie Kingston grabbed a jerry can, and doused Jericho. Danielson stopped him from lighting Jericho on fire, and Moxley would try to be the voice of reason. He was sent into the barbed wire board, as Jericho & Hager took control. Danielson was spiked with the turnbuckle, yet still kicked out.
He’d fight back, taking on two men while caked in blood, hitting a running knee strike with the steel chair for a near fall. Danielson called to kick a head in, before taking a bat to the knee. Liontamer was applied while Danielson was strangled by Hager – and this was a stoppage.
All Out Tag Team Warfare
Jurassic Express have been proving themselves time and time again as a team worthy of carrying the AEW World Tag Team Championships. They’ve beaten any top team who has stepped up to them, but tonight have to contend with two teams reaching title shots in the tag team division for the first time ever. Powerhouse Hobbs & Ricky Starks have been proving their toughness since uniting under Taz in Team Taz.
Keith Lee & Swerve Strickland meanwhile have been teaming before their time in AEW, and have really pulled everything together. Their issues with Team Taz are well documented, and tonight meet both them and the champions in a massive tag team match with gold on the line.
This one would start with a brawl, everyone leaving the ring. Jurassic Express hit an elbow drop sidewalk slam combo on Starks, before Swerve tagged into the match and hit the headscissor takedown. Hobbs got the tag, and flaunted his power – until Lee matched him. Swerve In Our Glory hit some running splashes, before Jungle Boy hit the hurricarana.
Some diving splashes landed on Swerve, before Lee caught him into a double powerbomb onto the back of Luchasarus. Hobbs would nail some forearm smashes, before Starks got cocky with a rope walk. Swerve would save Jungle Boy with a tag, before chopping Hobbs down for a diving uppercut to the back. He’d sweep the legs of Luchasaurus, before launching off the chest of Lee with a dive. Hobbs took the dropkick in the ring, but kicked out at two.
Jurassic Express Continue To Be Unstoppable
Luchasaurus would regain control of this match, before matching up with Keith Lee. Hobbs & Lee hit a double chokeslam on Luchasaurus, before they’d stare each other down. Heavy blows would be traded, sending Hobbs to the floor. Lee would follow with a dive over the top rope.
Back in the ring, Luchasaurus would go for a Samoan Drop, but Lee was too heavy. Hobbs went high risk with a double blockbuster. Jungle Boy & Starks got tags, and Christian Cage was thrown into the steel steps by Hobbs.
Starks hit the spear in the ring for a near fall, and followed up with Roshambo for a near fall. Luchasaurus had made the save, and was planted with the Last Will & Testament in the ring. Swerve Stomp crushed Hobbs, before Lee & Swerve crushed Jungle Boy.
Hobbs made the last second save, before Starks hit Lee with the FTW Championship. Swerve was superkicked in the ring, before the combo powerbomb from Jurassic Express for the win.
