There’s some mixed news for rapper A$AP Rocky in relation to his involvement in a November 2021 shooting in Hollywood. It appears as though guns at Rocky’s residence don’t match the gun used in the shooting, according to TMZ’s sources.
An Investigation Finds That the Guns Belonging to A$AP Rocky Were Not Used in November 2021 Shooting
After arresting A$AP Rocky at LAX in late April 2022, the LAPD executed a search warrant on his residence. Their search turned up several guns but it was easy to see that none of the weapons matched the shell casings at the scene. On a related note, in speaking with TMZ, sources close to Rocky said that the guns were legally owned and registered.
Even though the guns at the house didn’t resemble the gun that the police were looking for, they ran serial numbers. Fortunately for A$AP Rocky, they all returned clean.
Then again, who just keeps a gun used in a police-investigated shooting incident from six months ago in their house? Amongst a mixture of illegally and legally owned guns? Someone who is tired of being free or they’re actively trying to stack gun charges, probably.
That was the good news for the Long. Live. ASAP rapper. The bad news is that the police have video of the shooting. If the video’s quality is clear to where Rocky can be clear identified, then it’s pretty much a done deal. At the moment, no charges have been pushed against the 33-year-old rapper and the weight of the case would hinge on police either finding the gun used in the shooting or a video that clearly identifies Rocky.
Meanwhile, A$AP Rocky did a show on Saturday, April 30, 2022 with his significant other Rihanna backstage. The two are expecting their first child together very soon.
