‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers here and we’re set to dig into some fun spoilery goodies.
It looks like there’s going to be some interesting action in this episode, and we’re curious if it’ll lead anywhere or end up being a footnote for a possible storyline down the line.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Wednesday, June 1: Victor heads into enemy territory
We’re thinking Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is working to get everything lined up to rid Genoa City of the vermin he detests, and it leaves a couple of possibilities for who he’ll go see.
The first possibility is Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) is this involves Victor’s quest to send Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) packing, but there’s a huge catch to this.
As much as Victor hates Ashland, we think he hate Billy more. He wants Ashland gone, but Billy destroyed, and for that reason we don’t see him going this route.
Instead, we think he’s going to turn his attention to Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) and how to get her out of Genoa City, or at least out of his family’s lives.
For that, we think he’ll approach Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) to help pressure Diane into leaving. To Victor, Jack’s as guilty for Diane being there as anyone, so he’ll want him to send her packing.
The problem here is Jack will inform him it’s up to Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and neither of them. This won’t go over well and we expect Victor to throw out some insults and question Jack’s strength and ability, but that’s about it.
There is a chance this will come back to bite Victor at some point, but it probably won’t affect him as much as it should.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Wednesday, June 1: Kyle’s ethical problem
Whereas Victor doesn’t care who he hurts or crushes to get his way, Kyle’s a lot like his father in that he has a big heart and it guides him in instances where he’d be better served to ignore it.
His heart will be the issue here when Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez) wants to see Ashland and Kyle won’t want to or will hate lying to him.
Since Diane recently returned, Kyle has been dealing with the memories of what it was like to have his mom disappear from his live, and the idea of doing that to Harrison won’t sit well with him.
In fact, he’ll become miserable at the prospect and Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) will soften as well at seeing him suffering.
In the end, we think this will be a contest of wills, and Kyle just isn’t a cruel and vindictive as Victor to keep a son away from someone he knows as his dad.
