With each day, Sasha Banks and Naomi are gaining supporters online with Dolph Ziggler and Bayley tweeting their support.
Booker T has said he did something similar when people were throwing bottles at him and he and his wife left, and though him walking out was due to safety, it’s important for wrestlers to stand up for themselves.
While current WWE talent has been reluctant to speak out for whatever reason, AEW wrestlers Dax Harwood and Swerve Strickland haven’t been as shy with CM Punk gaining most of the headlines
CM Punk is no stranger to speaking out, and he urged other WWE stars to stand behind Banks and Naomi despite any personal opinions they may have.
Doesn’t matter if your opinion of your coworker is positive or negative. Stand with them. Because they’ll do the same thing to you and you’ll wish someone helped. Trust me. You’re expendable. Together you’re unstoppable.

Channeling Jesse Ventura
While Punk’s urging of WWE talent supporting Banks and Naomi isn’t surprising, it does bring to mind Jesse Ventura when he tried to unionize the WWE but failed when Hulk Hogan allegedly reported him to Vince McMahon.
Ventura often talked about how everyone is willing to fight or stand up for something until it comes time to do it, and this is one of those situations.
Fans have been showing they’re behind Banks and Naomi defending their characters and the tag division, and if enough talent speak up Vince McMahon will have to listen.
With the WWE continuing to play the victim and entice their core fanbase to buy into their narrative like they’ve done a hundred times before with the Ultimate Warrior, Steve Austin, and against WCW, it’s doubtful a lot will change.
However, social media allows people to have more of a voice than before, so anything’s possible.
How you use it
Wrestlers can let their fans know what’s going on like never before and that can hep galvanize a fan base.
It could also be used as a tool to show Vince how much support they have, and since it’s been reported their contracts are up in a couple of months and Naomi was reportedly negotiating a new deal.
This could give them an edge, though past experience shows it doesn’t work to try to show up Vince McMahon.
If anything, it looks more likely that Sasha Banks and Naomi’s future with the WWE is shaky at best, but things change. When is comes to wrestling, never say never is key.
