Former child star and television guest star Danny Bonaduce is taking a break from his Seattle-area radio program because of health issues. The 62-year-old star of The Partridge Family would tweet to his fans and followers about the temporary leave on Friday, April 29:
Some news to share. I’m taking a temporary medical leave from my radio show. I’ll share more when I know more. I’m still working towards receiving a diagnosis. What I know is, I need time to focus on my health. I love my job and talking to you guys & I’ll be back on the air soon. pic.twitter.com/spn9mScAHY

Danny Bonaduce Is Taking a Medical Leave from His Radio Show to Focus on His Health
Considering how transparent Bonaduce has been with his life, political opinions, and battles with substance abuse over the decades, when he gets an update on his condition, we’re all likely to know. With that said, the fact that he is taking a medical leave from his radio program points to it being something concerning for the television veteran.
While both the ailment and severity of it are mysteries to followers and Danny Bonaduce himself, he was able to joke a bit about using a cane as followed up the above tweet with the following:
“Charlie Chaplin, Willy Wonka, Danny Bonaduce. I’ve joined the club of cool guys with canes.”
Bonaduce, the son of a producer and writer on shows such as The Dick Van Dyke Show, would get his start in entertainment in the late 1960s. He appeared on popular shows of the period such as Mayberry R.F.D and Bewitched before landing his best-known role as Danny Partridge on The Partridge Family in 1970.
A popular character on the show for its four-year run, over the years many who have worked with Danny Bonaduce on different programs have noted his poor attitude behind the scenes.
Despite his previous attitude problems, Bonaduce always had television work except for a period in the late 1980s and early 1990s when his drug abuse issues resulted in a couple of arrests. These problems not only slowed his TV work but also work in radio—although he was usually able to find a position with another station.

Younger fans might remember Danny Bonaduce for his some of his work in the 2000s. He had a few appearances as Ricky on That 70s Show, CSI as Izzy Delancey, and a match on an early IMPACT Wrestling weekly pay-per-view. He was also a regular cast member on the sole season of Hulk Hogan’s Celebrity Championship Wrestling.
A long-time radio personality in addition to his acting endeavors, Bonaduce’s program The Danny Bonaduce & Sharah Morning Show has been on Seattle’s KZOK since 2011.
