The two-time Oscar winner Kevin Spacey is facing charges for carrying out sexual offenses all over Britain in the period between 2005 and 2013.
During these eight years, the 62-year-old actor has direct involvement in four sexual assaults against three different men. All this is allegedly happening during his reign as an artistic director of one of the most iconic theaters, the Old Vic.

This topic is raised once again now in 2022. Old Vic representatives say that they received 20 further personal testimonies of staff working in the theater.
The theater officials also express their sadness and regret that they were not able to create an environment where people can speak freely and report this timely.
I have genuine and deep sympathy for all those who have come forward. Everyone is entitled to work in an environment free from harassment and intimidation. The Old Vic is now actively engaged in the process of healing and the process of prevention.” – Matthew Warchus, the current artistic director says.
“However, it is incorrect, unfair, and irresponsible to say that everybody knew. But as a result of the investigation, what we have learnt is how better to call out this behavior in future.” – he adds.
According to BBC, their representatives did try to get in touch with Kevin’s legal representatives for comment on this but did not receive an answer. And what is more surprising is that nobody is aware of the exact location of the actor. His last public appearance is back in January, at the promotion of his latest movie.
The Old Vic’s statement occurs after the allegations of possible sexual assault over the employees emerges online. They feel like they share some part of the guilt for not spotting this on time.
Spacey, however, does not bother with this. He is unresponsive to the calls and doesn’t bother to give public statements regarding it.
During his time in power at the Old Vic, he presents a threat to all employees working there to some extent. Some claim that he made uncomfortable situations all over the place, every time to a different level. You just couldn’t have known which Kevin you’ll get today.
From the Old Vic sources, they say that Kevin Spacey did forcefully cause a ‘penetrative sexual activity without consent’ to one of the three victims.
The Prosecution Service of the Crown, reveals the name and the testimony of the men. The first victim is now in his 40s. He claims that he faced sexual assaults from the actor on two occasions, back in 2005.
The second man, somewhere around 35 years old now, claims that he is a victim of a similar deed by the actor. But three years later, in 2008. Moreover, this man is forced to have sex against his will.
Even though the above two men are working and living in London, the actor does not have any geographical limitations to his victimizations. He happens to strike again and commit yet another sexual assault, this time on a 30-year-old man in Gloucestershire.
Kevin Spacey is peacefully staying in New York. While he is there, the Prosecution Service of the Crown is looking for an option to extradite the actor to the UK. However, the situation might not go so smoothly. In cases like this, when the defendant is abroad, he is usually given two options. To be extradited, or to come back himself. What will Kevin decide will he go back to the UK himself?

The second Oscar comes in 1999, for his main role in the classic, American Beauty. Thinking of the movie now, with these accusations in light, it makes it, even more, cringing to watch. He plays a common man, in his late 40s, having a middle life crisis who ends up obsessing over his daughter’s best friend.
The Crown Prosecution Service official, Rosemary Ainslie, airs a statement regarding this. “The CPS has authorized criminal charges against Kevin Spacey, 62, for four counts of sexual assault against three men. The CPS has also authorized one charge of causing a person to engage in penetrative sexual activity without consent. The authority to charge follows a review of the evidence gathered by the Metropolitan Police in its investigation. The Crown Prosecution Service reminds all concerned that criminal proceedings against Mr. Spacey are active and that he has the right to a fair trial.”
The world is waiting on the situation to evolve and see what will come out of this. Even though the Crown Prosecution Service did authorize the charges, the actor who reveals that he is gay back in 2017 is still not facing charges from the police.

Despite the claims and accusations, the actor’s career is booming. He has two movies in which he features, that are complete and are waiting for an airing date.
