RK-Bro Set to Break Up Soon

RK-Bro has been an interesting experiment that turned into a fun ride as Riddle and Randy Orton really bonded and it’s easy to see they get along when they interact.

But the ride may be over shortly as it looks like there are plans in the works to break them up and have them feud.

If true, it’s not a surprise as Vince McMahon has long viewed the tag team division as a breeding ground for future singles stars and why it’s one of the weakest divisions in pro wrestling.

RK-Bro Set to Break Up Soon

The speculation started after Riddle hit Orton with a dive off the apron by mistake in their match against the Street Profits on WWE Raw on May 9.

Corey Graves called it “a rare miscommunication by RK-Bro” but that’s typically how tag teams start to break up. They either start miscommunicating or one starts losing the matches.

It’s been a while since the WWE did the miscommunication angle, so it’s more than due for a return.

    It’s only the beginning

More hints were dropped after the show when Orton and Riddle appeared on Raw Talk. Orton explained they didn’t intend to defend their titles, but they succeeded in defending them anyway.

The topic of Riddle using Orton’s finisher so much came up after Riddle hit a Super RKO to win the match.

In a seemingly joking manner, Orton said:

“You hitting a couple super RKO’s in the last week or so, like you’re blowing my mind, bro. I might have to have you go back to the Bro Derek because you’re gonna steal my thunder. They wanna see me hit the RKO out of nowhere. Bro, I got 10 more years of this stuff. I gotta keep that RKO mine.”

The seeds of their split have been sewn, but it’s been reported it was always the plan to have them break up and Orton turn on Riddle to ignite their feud.

In fact, it was supposed to happen the first night they teamed together but Vince reportedly changed his mind.

On tonight’s WWE Smackdown, May 13, Riddle and Orton are going to challenge the Usos to unify the tag titles, but since that wasn’t the plan before we doubt it will be now.

Which means starting tonight, this feud will probably be the one where Orton will turn heel out of frustration and nail Riddle with an RKO before leaving him in the ring.

Should RK-Bro break up or stay together? Let us know in the comments below.
