With Travis Barker marrying Kourtney Kardashian last week in a ceremony in Italy, Barker’s ex-wife finally figured “It’s time to truly move on and fatten my pockets at the same time.” Which is a little odd because Shanna Moakler could’ve done that at any point in the last 12 years.
Shanna Moakler Is Auctioning Off 4-Carat Cartier Engagement Ring from Ex-Husband Travis Barker – Currently Sitting at Over $70K
The bid for her Cartier engagement ring started at $51,000 and with the Kardashian-Barker wedding having just gone down, you can expect that there are some collectors who would want this for their stash.
Apparently, Shanna Moakler hasn’t been able to fully move on from her marriage with Barker but now she believes this is a big step in doing so. In speaking with Us Weekly, Moakler said:
“I think it is a beautiful piece and truly was my dream ring. However, that chapter of my life is over and even though wearing it at one time brought me great joy, I hope it will find a new home and continue to bring someone as much happiness as it once did to me.”
The 4-carat ring was posted on Worthy.com with ten bids so far. Right now, it sits at $70,252 with a little over two days left in the auction. Moakler has said that the ring is worth $160,000 but she is gunning for at least $120,000. While Moakler denies that her ex’s wedding to Kourtney Kardashian has anything to do with her selling the ring a decade and change later, it definitely isn’t hindering the appeal of bidding on the piece.
Travis Barker and Shanna Moakler got married in 2004 and had a son, Landon, born in 2003, and a daughter, Alabama, born in 2005. The couple would put a button on their union in 2008.
