Sophie Turner has opened up on why she decided to decline an invitation from Kendall Jenner to attend a Met Gala afterparty.

Sophie is a huge fan of the Kardashians, so her absence came as a surprise, when she was given the opportunity to see them first-hand. This is particularly true since Sophie did attend the gala herself alongside her husband Joe Jonas.
In the picture here, we can see her and Joe together on the red carpet. She is wearing a black, long dress, while Joe has donned a white/black suit jacket.
This begs the question: why did Sophie decline the invitation? Well, rather than having something important to do, it seems that she let herself do something which she regretted in hindsight.
In an interview with Jimmy Fallon, she said: “I was so struck by her beauty, and she invited me to … this low-key afterparty. She went, like, ‘Do you want to come?’
“And I just went, ‘No, no, I don’t.’ And I’m like, ‘Why? Why do I so this to myself?’” But after having turned down the opportunity, Sophie decided to do something else instead.
However, in comparison to the party that she could have ended up going to, this was something much simpler. She made the decision to go home and make some food. But whether that ended up being a masterpiece is anyone’s guess.
She added: “I just sat in bed and ate pasta…I was like, ‘Could be somewhere else right now, but I’m not.” The fans on social media were not convinced by Sophie’s comments.
People were of the view that she did not admire Kendall, as much as she claims to have done, as otherwise she would have attended the party.
One person wrote: “Was so excited she had a soul. And I love the Kardashians, made it clear she doesn’t.” Perhaps next time, Sophie will change her mind. So there you have it folks.
