Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Cullors has been called into question after tax filings showed payments were made to family and friends from charitable donations.
Tax Filings Show BLM Co-Founder Patrisse Cullors Paid Millions To Family And Friends From Charitable Donations-‘Lowlife Degenerate Crooks’
According to the documents in question, BLM had allegedly made payments over $900,000 towards a company that was owned by Damon Turner to ‘produce live events’ and ‘creative services.’ It just so happened that Damon is the father of Patrisse’s child.
Not only that, but investigations revealed that the other co-founder, Patrisse’ brother Paul Cullors, apparently received in excess of $800,000 for providing security services.
And just when you thought things could not look any more suspect, a consultancy firm owned by the board secretary of BLM (Shalomyah Bowers) was claimed to have been paid over $2 million for providing ‘operational support.’
Despite the claims suggesting that something untoward may have happened, Patrisse has previously denied doing anything of the sort.
Upon her resignation from BLM in 2021, she was very vocal about not having used the funds for personal use, even if she did purchase a $6million residence in Los Angeles.
In addition, supporters of BLM have sought to justify outsourcing security to those connected with the organization on the basis that ex-police men often preside over security firms. And as such, they may not have the best interests of BLM at heart.
It was not surprising to see that the response from the public on social media was very condemnatory. A significant proportion of people were outraged that funds had potentially been syphoned off for personal gain.
Meanwhile, others demanded that an investigation be held with the culprits brought to account. One person wrote: “Great!! Keep it in the family!!Bunch of lowlife degenerate crooks!”
While another person stated: “How has this org, which likely had something to do with the 2000 Mules still in existence and without handcuffs?”
Things are not looking good for the organisation and surely an investigation will be forthcoming to get to the bottom of what had happened. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
