It’s been one week since Sasha Banks and Naomi walked out of the WWE during May 16’s episode of WWE Raw, and the WWE has been systematically going after them in various ways.
It started with Becky Lynch and Corey Graves commenting last week, which Graves caught plenty of flak for calling them unprofessional, and ahs continued as they’re systematically being removed from various promos and formats.
On May 23, things continued as Corey Graves once again took to the air to blast them, albeit in an indirect way as Nikki ASH and Doudrop came out for Nikki’s match with Alexa Bliss.
“Two women with a lot on their mind. Last week it was the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship, and the then Women’s Tag Team Champions Sasha and Naomi would leave during the broadcast of Monday Night Raw. Walk out of the arena during the show and Nikki ASH and Doudrop were actually scheduled to be part of the six-pack challenge main event. Sasha Banks and Naomi would relinquish their Championships and disappointed the WWE Universe in the process.”
But there may be more to come.
After talking to a few people, I gather this Sasha / Naomi situation is going to get worse before it gets any better. While the majority of the support online is in their favor, its quite the opposite with management.

Getting worse
WrestleVotes posted a Tweet about how WWE management is choosing once again to ignore/fail to take into count fans’ opinions on the situation.
“After talking to a few people, I gather this Sasha / Naomi situation is going to get worse before it gets any better. While the majority of the support online is in their favor, its quite the opposite with management.”
This could be taken several ways, and one of them is they could freeze their contracts.
It’s a practice the WWE often does when someone’s injured, meaning the time they’re out is frozen and doesn’t count against the time left on their contracts.
Dave Meltzer mentioned it on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio. While there’s no word on whether the WWE will do this, it’s a possibility it’ll be done for as long as Banks and Naomi are suspended.
The reason for it would be to keep them in the WWE and away from AEW or another rival company in the hopes they’ll agree and things will be smoothed over.
Considering their contracts are rumored to end in the next few months, it’d be something we can see the WWE doing to buy as much time as possible.
With Bayley showing support for Banks on social media and their friendship, the legitimate fear could be that Bayley would follow Banks to AEW or elsewhere and the WWE would lose two of their biggest stars.
