During Night One of WrestleMania 38, Charlotte Flair & Ronda Rousey had an unsatisfying finish to their match, and they intend to prove who is better here tonight. We have a massive I Quit match here tonight, where the only way to get a win is force your opponent to utter the words ‘I Quit’. Given the people involved, it will not be easy to figure who will give leave with the Smackdown Women’s Championship tonight – as both are notorious with their pride.
This Is Less A Match, And More Of A Fight
Flair rushed in with a big boot to the start this match, but Rousey would dodge – and nail a knee strike to the face. Rousey would start to ragdoll Flair with some judo tosses, only for Flair to nail a lariat instead. Flair would look for a bodyslam, but was countered and tossed by Rousey.
Pipers Pit was set, but Flair was able to block and nail a German Suplex. This one rolled to the floor, where Rousey was driven hard into the barricade twice. Some chops landed, but Rousey was nowhere near ready to quit. She’d toss Flair into the timekeepers area, but Flair came back with a big boot.
Kendo Stick was pulled from under the ring by Flair, but Rousey quickly disarmed her. Flair would run like a scalded dog to the back, and would come back with two kendo sticks. Rousey quickly took them again, and showed she can dual wield – breaking the kendo sticks on the body of Flair. Flair grabbed and threw a camera – but Rousey dodged.
Ronda Rousey Gets The Smackdown Women’s Championship
This one brawled off to the crowd, and Flair would drive Rousey into the boards. She’d wrap Rousey up in the railings before applying a Camel Clutch – but Rousey refused to quit. At the ringside area, Rousey grabbed a chair – but was disarmed with a big boot. Flair would powerbomb Rousey into the barricade, but Rousey quickly fired up.
Rousey had her eyes raked before being driven into the ring post. Flair went up for a moonsault, but was taken down into a tree of woe. Rousey applied the armbar, and Flair was somehow able to survive without saying the magic words. Flair used a steel char to beat down Rousey in the ring before hitting Natural Selection.
Figure Eight would be applied, but Rousey did not quit – and instead got free using a steel chair. Flair would get caught up in a steel chair, as Rousey applied the armbar. Rousey would get the full extension, and Flair said I Quit – giving us a new Smackdown Women’s Champion!
Who Gets The Last Laugh?
Happy Corbin has lost control of Madcap Moss, and now they are set to clash tonight here at WrestleMania Backlash. Corbin blamed his loss to Drew McIntyre at Wrestlemania 38 – and this turned into a brawl. Now, Moss is on a hot streak on Smackdown Live, angering Corbin. Only one will get the last laugh here tonight.
Corbin would nail some heavy strikes to start this match, before Moss hit a big shoulder tackle. Moss would leapfrog Corbin twice before a hip toss, before Corbin nailed a massive chokeslam. Corbin would take Moss to the floor and drive him right into the barricade. Back in the ring, he’d run Moss into the corner with a hard irish whip.
The second Moss got an opening, Corbin would slip in and out of the ring for a big lariat. Gutwrench Suplex and senton would follow from Corbin, but Moss would send him to the floor. Moss picked up speed for a shoulder tackle, sending Corbin to the floor. Back in the ring, Moss hit a Fallaway Slam for a near fall.
Corbin would dodge a diving lariat and nail Deep Six for a near fall. Moss would get a Sunset Flip – and manage the three count for the win. What is next for Madcap Moss? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
