With Forbidden Door right around the corner, everyone is wondering why Bryan Danielson is not on the card. He’s been called out by Zack Sabre Jr. for a match, but has kept quiet. Even beyond Forbidden Door, he’s being courted to fight alongside Jon Moxley, Ortiz & Eddie Kingston in Blood & Guts. Tonight, Danielson gets a chance to speak live on Dynamite, and address these two huge upcoming events.
Bryan Danielson Is Out Of Forbidden Door & Blood & Guts – Isn’t Naming His Replacement Yet
Kicking off the show, Danielson would march to the ring to speak with Tony Schiavone. Schiavone would hype the two huge events, before Danielson took the mic without intentions to give it back. This week is a great week to be an AEW fan. It’s a great week to be a professional fan.
Sunday is Forbidden Door, one of the biggest interpromotional shows between professional wrestling companies – and Blood & Guts next week on Dynamite. Danielson is especially hyped for that, but he won’t be part of it. Jericho paid Zack Sabre Jr to call out Danielson, and to prove he was the best technical wrestler.
Danielson was excited to stomp his throat in, and to get revenge on Jericho. However, he’s not cleared to compete after Anarchy in the Arena. This is for both Forbidden Door & Blood & Guts. However, his overall health is fine – and Danielson will be back in no time. He’s been through worse than this, and is still one of the best in the world.
However, this is not the good news. Eddie Kingston would call Danielson a judgemental prick, and he’s right. Danielson has very high standards, and if he promises something amazing – he delivers. At Forbidden Door & Blood & Guts, a man will debut in AEW to take his place.
But who is it? Danielson isn’t telling tonight, but we will all find out at Forbidden Door – including Zack Sabre Jr. He promises some incredible technical wrestling however. ZSJ would show up, and immediately call Danielson a dickhead.
At Forbidden Door, Will Ospreay will defend the IWGP United States Championship against Orange Cassidy. Tonight, he has a chance to test the skills of The Freshly Squeezed one, as he teams with Aussie Open to take on OC & Roppongi Vice. This Sunday, Roppongi Vice is also in action, as they take on FTR & United Empire in a winner takes all match with both the ROH & IWGP Tag Team Championships.
Romero would start up with Kyle Fletcher, nailing some fast kicks – before tagging out to Trent. Mark Davis would hit a big boot, before taking a German Suplex. Orange Cassidy hit the ring, put his hands in his pockets, and hit the shotgun dropkick. He’d lead RPG Vice in the Forever Lariats, before this one went to the floor.
Aussie Open would hit backdrops in tandem onto the apron, before Ospreay hit some heavy handed chops. Fletcher would apply the half crab in the middle of the ring, before Trent broke free. OC would hit the deadly low kicks, before an absolutely perfect tornado DDT. Ospreay was shocked, before he’d be lured into a hurricanrana from Romero. OC would thrown to Orange Punch, before blocking the DDT into a suplex attempt. Stundog Millionaire would land, before Davis would meet Romero. They’d trade some chops, before Fletcher tagged in.
Aussie Open would hit a combo powerbomb, but Romero kicked out. OC would hit the crossbody, before taking a flying forearm. Trent hit a lariat, RPG Vice a double knee strike – before Strong Zero was attempted. Before Ospreay helped free Fletcher. Davis would nail a massive Piledriver, but OC would hit the Orange Punch for the win.
