Last week on AEW Dynamite, the AEW World Tag Team Championship reign of Jurassic Express came to an end at 161 days. The Young Bucks would defeat them in a ladder match, becoming the first ever two time AEW World Tag Team Champions. Following the match however, would be a shocking scene – as Christian Cage would turn on his protege, Jungle Boy. He’d flip the Killswitch, before nailing a Con-Chair-To to seal the deal. Now tonight, he’s got a chance to talk and explain his actions.
Christian Cage Is Only In AEW To Make Money
Tony Schivone would simply ask for Christian to explain what happened. The crowd would boo, and he threatened to stay in the ring all night if needed – as he waited for them to shut up. Christian was playing the long con, always looking to get ahead after Jungle Boy eliminated him over a year ago during a Casino Battle Royale.
While yes, this was petty – it was something that cost him money, and the fans would cheer Jungle Boy. Christian would go on a tirad about social media, saying fans wish they knew a tenth of what he does. He hitched himself to the Jurassic Express – thinking they’d be easy money.
He didn’t come back to raise the next generation of talent, he’s here to make a fuckton of money. The gravy train ran dry with Jungle Boy, and now Christian will have to get his hand\s dirty. They’d show footage of Christian Cage ripping into the mother and sister of Jungle Boy, before he’d say it’s a good thing his father is dead – as he would be so let down.
Luchasarus would hit the ring and choke Christian in the corner. Christian would bring up Marko Stunt, before saying Luchasarus is like a son to him. He’d try and get a private talk, and Luchasarus seemed to accept this.
Malakai Black Is Going To Forbidden Door
There is just a single slot left in the All-Atlantic Championship match at Forbidden Door, and both Penta Oscuro & Malakai Black will battle for that slot here tonight. Already having qualified is Miro, PAC, and Tomohiro Ishii. With less than a week before this match happens, both men will be keen on finishing this match as quick as possible – to make it to the match as fresh as possible.
Black would quickly sent Penta to the floor with a kick, before being yanked down on the moonsault attempt. Penta would soar in with a dive, but hurt his back on the way down. A backstabber out of the corner would punish the back of Black, but he’d land hard on his own back. Penta looked for the armbreaker, but Black would counter.
On the outside, Black would nail some heavy kicks. Cobra Twist would be applied in the middle of the ring, before Penta slipped free and snapped off a suplex into the corner. Black would be rolled into a crossbody splash, before this one went to the apron. Penta was kicked into the ring post, but dodged the Skull Kick and nearly got the Fear Factor.
Black would counter, before nailing a heavy chop. Penta was sent to the floor for the moonsault, before the diving double foot stomp. Black would get a two count, before being spiked with an Avalanche fear Factor. Penta was slow to the cover, and Black got his foot on the bottom rope. Skull Kick would land, and Black advances.
