Dante Martin is sick of being called a wrestler with ‘potential’. Since breaking out as a singles wrestler in AEW due to the injury history of his brother Darius Martin, he’s been hearing how much potential he has. At a certain point, this compliment becomes backhanded, and Martin is viewing it as patronising.
Tonight, he is taking on a man who just called himself the greatest professional wrestler in the world today with Jon Moxley, and plans on taking him down for the biggest win of his career. Both times Jon Moxley has wrestled Dante Martin, it’s been the same result. Martin stared up at the lights by the end, and Moxley was fixing to ensure this remained the same tonight.

Back in the ring, Martin was taken into the Texas Cloverleaf – a signature move of Hiroshi Tanahashi. Moxley transitioned into a Regal Stretch before a front headlock and some crown knee strikes. Keith Lee & Swerve Strickland Are Fine
During the battle royale to determine who would face Jon Moxley in the main event of AEW Dynamite two weeks ago, Swerve Strickland would eliminate recent tag team partner Keith Lee. While all is fair in a battle royale with singles success on the line, Swerve calling Lee ‘dead weight’ on Twitter afterwards took things a bit far. Tonight, they have a chance to talk things out.
Schiavone would ask if they’re on the same page, but Lee would ask Swerve to explain in 30 seconds why he shouldn’t beat his ass. Swerve explained that it’s about singles success, Lee & Swerve agreed they’re Shaq & Kobe. Crashing the interview was Powerhouse Hobbs & Ricky Starks, who reminded them that they have not beat them in tag team action – perhaps setting up a future match.
