Right now, the WWE status of Sasha Banks is very unclear. Alongside Naomi, she recently walked out of an episode of WWE Monday Night RAW, reportedly leaving the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships on the desk of John Laurenitis before leaving the area. A simple dispute over booking, leading to one of their biggest names looking for their release. No one knows if Sasha Banks is out or not, but everyone wants The Boss in the ring, including the AEW Women’s World Champion.
Thunder Rosa Would Love To Wrestle Sasha Banks
During a virtual autograph signing with The Asylum Wrestling Store, Thunder Rosa would be asked if she wants Sasha Banks in AEW, and if she’d like to wrestle her. Rosa would respond with the following.
“I mean, of course everybody’s gonna come for whoever’s on top, right? I’m the biggest prey any predator comes after and I’m ready man. I told you, I’m not afraid of nobody. If Sasha wants — if ‘The Boss’ wants some from La Mera Mera, she got it, she got it coming. Hell yeah. That’s how I do.”
The Boss vs. La Mera Mera Would Be A Huge Match For AEW
While some people are sick of former WWE stars walking into AEW and right into big spots, you don’t turn down someone like Sasha Banks if given the chance. She would be a game changing signing for their women’s division. Her signing would be akin to getting Bryan Danielson, CM Punk, or Adam Cole. Banks would likely be instantly shot to the top, and become the biggest star in the division.
When it comes to AEW, Banks would likely love getting to work with TJPW stars and the likes of Hikaru Shida & Riho. She’s been very vocal about her love for the joshi style, leading some to expect her to land in Japan with the Stardom promotion instead of AEW. However, if AEW can manage to book Sasha Banks vs. Thunder Rosa for a show like Grand Slam? It’d be massive.
