As of late, we’ve been seeing less and less spotlight for Dark Order within the programming of All Elite Wrestling. Once led by Brodie Lee, and lately having backed up Hangman Page – The Dark Order are a fan favourite group in AEW. However lately we’ve seen Stu Grayson leave AEW, and now Alan Angels will follow.
Alan Angels Finishing Up With AEW
Recently, Angels would black out his profile picture on Twitter, while removing any references to AEW in his profile. A report from Fightful would show that Angels is in fact finishing up with the company as his contract expires. There is a chance he’s brought back in on a ‘per appearance’ type deal, but no new contract has been offered at this time.
Angels signed with AEW back in 2020, where he notably kicked out of a V-Trigger from Kenny Omega. His last AEW match was a Pure Rules bout against Daniel Garcia during the most recent Universal Studios TV tapings for AEW Dark that has yet to air. Angels also teamed with Evil Uno in NJPW representing Dark Order in the tournament to crown the first ever NJPW Strong Tag Team Champions.
Could Dark Order Be In Danger?
Between the exits of Grayson & Angels, a lack of focus on weekly TV, and even Anna Jay starting to associate less and less with the faction? Fans are worried AEW might be ending Dark Order as a whole. Evil Uno has taken to Twitter to say that “Dark Order is not dead.” to ease the worries of fans.
Fans are wondering if a new member or leader figure will be needed. There’s been some teasing about Bray Wyatt joining up, with Mikey Rukus working on a swamp metal theme song, and him branding himself as “Windham Six” on Twitter. There has never been a number 6 in the Dark Order, and Wyatt is a very close friend of the late Brodie Lee.
