It is no secret that the couple have crossed over into the celebrity world given the high-profile appearances they have already made.
We have seen this with Meghan’s appearance on ‘The Ellen Degeneres Show.’ Meanwhile, Harry has done a similar thing by appearing on the ‘Late Late Show’ with James Corden.
And as reports stressed that Queen Elizabeth II had given the greenlight for the episode to be filled inside Buckingham Palace, the calls for Harry and Meghan to come on the show have now gathered pace.
Richard Eden, who happens to be a Royal expert, had this to say: “Perhaps Prince Harry and Meghan could be invited to be contestants.”
In reality, the prospects of this happening are very slim for the following reasons. First of all, it is claimed that Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla are actually fans of the show.
Therefore, it would make no sense for Harry and Meghan to appear given the lack of enthusiasm. Secondly, the fact that Harry and Meghan received such a negative response during the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, the prospect of them ever being welcomed in Buckingham Palace again are very small.
And this is precisely the sentiment that was being expressed on social media. A certain subset of people began to mock the idea that this was even under consideration.
Meanwhile, others wanted to see it happen simply because of the entertainment value it would provide. One person wrote: “Well they know how to do the Quickstep given the speed they exited last weekend.”
While another person stated: “Only way to get…with senior royals is to dance with them! Can you imagine Meghan’s sequinned number for salsa?”
