Amber Heard’s sister Whitney Heard has spoken in support of the actress following her loss against ex-husband Johnny Depp in their defamation trial.

Amber, for her part, faces a crucial period in her life with her career in the balance. Her attorney Elaine Bredehoft has already made it clear that Heard does not have the means to pay the judgment that is close to $10 million.
But given that her legal team have made it clear that they intend on appealing the decision, Whitney was on hand to show the world that she was there to support her sister every step of the way.
In a post to her fans on Instagram, Whitney said: “I still stand with you, sissy…I will always be proud of you for standing up for yourself…for being the voice of so many who can’t speak to the things that happen behind closed doors.”
Despite what Whitney has said, the jury ultimately concluded that Johnny’s evidence was more credible. Not only that, but Whitney is hardly going to speak out against her sister even if there was a chance that she was not convinced by what she had to say.
Therefore, her comments had to be taken with a pinch of salt. In addition, it is also important to remember that Whitney was reportedly the only person to attend in support of Amber when the judgment was being handed out.
And yet, Whitney was adamant that her sister was on the right side of history. She added: “The truth is forever on your side. I’m so sorry that it wasn’t reflected in the decision made by this jury…#istandwithamberheard.
The response from the fans on social media was one of outrage. A significant proportion of people blasted Whitney’s comments based on the evidence that was presented in the courtroom.
In the process of doing so, they were very harsh indeed. One person wrote: “The talentless, less attractive, broke cocaine addict sister doesn’t want to lose her fix,” while another person stated: “Of co[u]rse Amber’s puppet is proud of her.”
