Georgia Teen Charged with 23 Counts of TERRORISTIC THREATS Towards Sheriff for the Arrest of Young Thug and YSL
Quartavius Mender (18) was taken into custody on May 26, 2022, after making death threats on Sheriff Labat’s Instagram. The threats came about with the arrests of the popular Atlanta rapper and 26 of his collaborators and associates in the Young Stone Life collective.
YSL was brought up on state racketeering and other gang-related charges. Included in his death threats was the chief of the Atlanta Public Schools Police, Ronald Applin. In short, he said he would kill them if YSL weren’t released.
Mender went hard with these threats as death threats against the police are taken very seriously. Since a government organization was targeted, those death threats got upgraded from “serious” to “dead serious”.
This will be a hard one for the 18-year-old to wiggle out of without running some sort of defense which brings his mental capacity into question. While the charges filed are only felonies, restrictions will definitely be placed on young Quartavius.
In a statement from Sheriff Pat Labat, he expressed how seriously the police take these threats and thanked everyone involved in Mender’s arrest:
“We take these kinds of brazen threats seriously. Social media cyberbullying, and hiding behind a keyboard will not protect someone from criminal prosecution. Our investigators are diligent in seeking individuals who mean to do harm to anybody, and I am grateful to them for ensuring the safety of myself, my wife, and all citizens of Fulton County.”
