The duo that made the headlines the past week. The iconic lawyer Camille Vasquez and the legendary actor Johnny Depp. Rumors for the duo dating for some time appear, but a public dismissal of the claims emerges shortly after that by both of them.
Johnny Depp won over his ex-spouse Amber Heard in the case for defamation all thanks to the skills that his lawyer Camille shows in the courtroom. Now that he is sure of her abilities and skills, he doesn’t have a doubt about who to recruit to represent him in any following trial that he might have.
Johnny Depp Faces New Charges – Recruits Camille Vasquez Once Again
The actor’s next trial is against his colleague Gregg Brooks aka Rocky. The reason behind this lawsuit is the alleging accusations that Depp faces for ‘inflicting emotional distress’ upon Brooks. Furthermore, Johnny Depp allegedly hit Brooks in the face while they were on the set for the Movie City of Lies.
The physical attack happens back in 2018, and the reason behind it according to Brooks is that he approached Depp and told him that the shooting time has already passed and he will leave the set until the next morning. Johnny gets extreme frustration and hits Gregg Brooks in ‘affect’.
Later, Depp refuses all charges and states that his reaction is physical because there were provocations that lead to it. Also, Depp claims that he is not the first one to throw a punch at the place of the incident. He hit Brooks as an act of self-defense.
After the incident, Depp states that the two of them got together and sorted things out.
“I had my assistant bring a bottle of wine. And we toasted in I think paper cups. And, you know, no harm, no foul. I apologized. He apologized. Gave him a hug. We embraced. You know, I hugged him. And everything was cool. As a matter of fact, he asked for a selfie with me. And so I took a selfie with him.” – Johnny Depp says.
Even though the Pirates of the Caribbean actor wins his trial against Amber Heard, it doesn’t mean that he will take the win in his next case as well. Brooke’s lawyer states that this is a far more serious accusation than the defamation trial that the star had.
“While we respect the jury’s decision, it has no relevance to Mr. Brooks’ case in Los Angeles.” – Pat Harris, Brooke’s lawyer says – “Brooks’ case is not about two Hollywood celebrities involved in a toxic relationship. It is about the assault of a hard-working film crew member by the star of the production. Mr. Brooks looks forward to his day in court.”
So there is no rest for Johnny. As soon as he gets out of his most risky case until now, he will enter a new one. While it is sure that he will re-engage his trustworthy Camille Vasquez, it is not sure what the outcome this time will be.
Are you on team Depp for this one as well?
