The world is a witness to another Mike Tyson scandal. Last month, while on a plane, the Baddest Man on the Planet attacked and punched vigorously a passenger seated behind him.
There are many stories of why the boxer did what he did, however, none of them is explaining enough the aggressive response that Tyson shows to the passenger. Some state he is just an overexcited fan that got what he was not expecting. Others say that he was purposely sent to provoke the boxer. However, regardless of what the reason is, there is no justification for Tyson’s behavior.

Mike Tyson is silent regarding the event for quite some time. Finally, after more than a month, he gives a statement regarding it.
He says that he should not fly on ‘public planes’ anymore. He should stick to private jets. The event happens in April, on a commercial flight from San Francisco International Airport to Florida. Sources close to Tyson state that the passenger was asked to stop harassing the boxer several times, but did not comply with the warnings. On the contrary, he continues speaking nonsense to the ex-heavyweight champion and culminates the situation by throwing a water bottle at him.
Speaking for Tyson’s good intentions is the selfie that the boxer took with the passenger’s phone. This, however, did not satisfy the passenger and he continues to gesture with his hands close to Tyson’s head. And like that, if you poke the bear, it will turn on to you. Tyson snapped, got off his seat, faced the harasser, and delivered several punches to him.
Luckily for the passenger, and unlikely for Tyson, a video of the unpleasant event occurs online just minutes after the incident takes place.
Yet, the County District Attorney did not file charges against Mike Tyson, naming, the circumstances surrounding the confrontation.
In a recent ‘Hotboxin with Mike podcast’ episode, the heavyweight boxer shares some words regarding the incident.
“He was fucking with me, man!” – Tyson says – “I shouldn’t even be taking public planes. A bodyguard and a fucking yes man, What am I gonna do on a plane? I should have listened to my wife!”
Evidently, his wife Lakiha Spicer did tell him not to go on a commercial flight. From her experience, people find his presence too exciting and do stupid things.
Many popular personalities back up or blame Mike for what he did. However, the wider public is accusing him of losing his temper too fast and of reacting way more aggressively than he should react.
