Paul Pelosi, the husband of U.S House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), is looking at charges for his DUI arrest on May 28, 2022. Not only that but he could face jail time for the two misdemeanors of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol Causing Injury and Driving with .08-percent Blood Alcohol Level or Higher Causing Injury.

Also of note is that Pelosi pulled what he figured was an actual “Get Out of Jail Free” card and flashed his CHP 11-99 Foundation card when asked for his ID, according to TMZ. According to its site, “The CHP 11-99 Foundation provides emergency assistance to California Highway Patrol employees and scholarships to their children.”
Pelosi’s blood test came back with a .082-percent BAC. Apparently, the man had gotten a snootful, figured “I can drive better when I’m drunk—the f**k you mean?” and proceeded to crash like Icarus on Jack Daniels. It should be noted that Pelosi is considered more of a social drinker, doesn’t put them away regularly, and car accidents with Paul aren’t unusual at all.
In late May, Paul Pelosi was driving a 2021 Porsche which was hit by a Jeep. The California Highway Patrol showed up and observed that the 82-year-old was exhibiting “objective signs and symptoms of alcohol intoxication”. Pelosi would go to show signs of impairment during his field sobriety test as well.
So, what is Paul Pelosi looking at for the charge? He’s facing up to five years probation, an ignition interlock device will be installed in his vehicle, and most horrible—make the kids and weak of heart leave the room—five whole days behind bars.
Important to note is that the Napa County CHP shot down rumors of involvement from Governor Gavin Newsom to make the charge disappear. A spokesman stated:
“Governor Newsom has not contacted the D.A.’s office nor intervened to have all DUI charges against Paul Pelosi dropped.”
