Prince Harry would have left the UK feeling ‘depressed’ in the aftermath of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee according to various royal experts.
Prince Harry Left The Platinum Jubilee As A Broken Man-‘Those Four Days Will Haunt Prince Harry For The Rest Of His Life’
It is safe to say that Harry did not have the easiest time. He was sidelined from the other members of the Royal family, as shown by his absence from the palace balcony.
Not only that, but he was also met with a chorus of boos along with his wife Meghan Markle as they exited the ‘Service of Thanksgiving’ at St. Paul’s Cathedral.
And given that reports indicated Prince William and Kate Middleton failed to introduce their children to Lilibet, it would be hard for any man to cope with that.
Royal historian Hugo Vickers had this to say: “Harry has given up being Captain of the Royal Marines, who were out in force. I think he must have gone home feeling very depressed for what he has given up.”
That may explain why Harry decided to leave the celebrations early by not staying until the end. After all, he had been absent from the UK for 2 years.
Therefore, it would have been feasible for him to have made every effort to ensure that he left behind a good impression. But given the reception that he had received, this may throw light on why he made a hasty departure.
Duncan Larcombe, who happens to be a royal expert, had this to say: “Those four days will haunt Prince Harry for the rest of his life.” There are serious question marks over whether we will see Harry again.
Will he want to subject himself and his family towards a similar type of treatment? And if the Royal family cannot show a united front on such a huge occasion, as the monarch’s 70th year in charge, then there is no hope of a reconciliation.
With that being said, the prospects of another Harry and Meghan appearance seem unlikely. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
