Kate Middleton has been slammed over her parenting after being accused of ‘throwing money at problems.’
Kate Middleton SLAMMED For Her Parenting Approach-‘Her Solution Seems To Be To Throw Money At The Problem’
The Duchess of Cambridge is a mother of three children, which does make her qualified to have a say on what it takes to be a parent.
And this was precisely what she attempted to do when she had a recent discussion with some ministers, including the UK’s Health Secretary Sajid Javid.
This was designed to discuss the results of a new poll that had been conducted by her ‘Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood.’
According to the poll, 90% of parents understood the importance of the early years of a child under six in shaping their future. Not only that, but 70% recognised that this was something that should be a priority within society.
And with the findings having thrown up so many issues, Kate wanted to give her say on the matter. In her comments, she said: “There is more we can all do.
“Every member of society can play a key role, whether that is directly with a child or by investing in the adults around them – the parents, the carers, the early years workforce and more.”
Nevertheless, her comments came under fire for the following reasons. First of all, the Duchess’ emphasis on calling for ‘investment’ could not be reconciled with the current economic climate.
At a time when the services she had mentioned were being cut, it was easy for someone that did not face financial struggles to say that.
Secondly, others argued that there should have been a greater emphasis on the style of parenting as opposed to money. After all, that is something that all parents can realistically aspire to.
Frank Young, who happens to be the editorial director and researcher at Civitas think tank, had this to say: “The same poll…found that one in eight new parents look to celebrities on social media for parenting advice.
“Her solution seems to be to throw money at the problem.” So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
