Jay Lethal was unable to claim the ROH World Television Championship from Samoa Joe at Death Before Dishonor, but blames it on an illegal choke. Tonight he’s back in action, teaming with Satnam Singh & Sonjay Dutt to face down The Best Friends. Dutt was baited into accepting an in-ring return, but regretted it immediately – and might not be keen on stepping into the ring tonight.
Sonjay Dutt Should Have Stayed On The Apron – Wardlow Fears No Man
Trent would kick things off against Lethal, locking up hard in the middle of the ring. Both men would look for pinfall attempts, before OC would be tagged in. He’d call in the giant Satnam Singh, but got Dutt in his manager’s clothes instead. Dutt would strip down, handing the clothes to referee Bryce Remhsburg, who also got the glasses of OC.
Satnam Signh would tag in and manhandle OC, before an overhand chop. Lethal would stomp away at OC. OC would be driven into the corners, before he’d leapfrog Lethal before completing a lazy tag to Chucky Taylor. Best Friends would hit the Half & Half Suplex & Sole Food combo – before OC hit the big swinging DDT.
Dutt would hit the ring with the mocking low kicks before taking the Orange Punch. Satnam Singh was slow on the save, and this would get the pinfall. After the bell, Lethal & Singh would beat down OC – getting the last laugh here tonight. Wardlow would hit the ring for the save – before Singh, Dutt & Lethal all fled the ring.
Ethan Page Doesn’t Get Paid By The Hour
Leon Ruffin might be a former WWE NXT North American Champion, but that hasn’t made his path in AEW an easy one. His lack of size has made him a target for the likes of Ethan Page, who previously tossed him without issue. Tonight, Ruffin gets a change at redemption – and will face Page here tonight on AEW Rampage.
Ruffin would rush in to start this match, before Page would drive him into the corner. Page would run Ruffin down with the shoulder tackle – before a heavy forearm shot and a massive Ego’s Edge. This was a quick win for Page, who was eager to leave the ring after finishing his work.
Will Ethan Page make a big impact when AEW makes it’s Canadian debut soon? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
