Issues from a month or year ago returning because they were never resolved often lead to new headaches. Chris Brown is dealing with the organizer of a benefit concert after he was accused of bailing on the “One Night Only” show in Houston.
Chris Brown Claims That He DIDN’T Bounce on a Houston Hurricane Relief Concert – His Team Has Proof
The concert—organized by LaJuan Bailey—was scheduled for March 19, 2022 at Houston’s Toyota Center. Money raised from the show was to help the victims of Hurricanes Ida and Nicholas in August and September 2021. Ida would do over $75 billion in damage to eastern North and South America while Nicholas did $1 billion in damage to the Gulf South region—the southeastern U.S and southern Mexico.
Bailey claims that Brown received a $1 million advance for his performance, rider, and his private plane. So, if all of that is advanced, Chris Brown should be coming to do the show. Bailey said that Brown’s team called and canceled their participation during a sound check—which is done on the day of the show.
However, Brown’s side said that the legal team contacted Bailey on March 17 and said that Chris Brown was pulling out. Apparently, a clause gave them the loophole in that Bryson Tiller was removed from the show and no replacement was found.
This was a violation of terms in Brown’s contract, so he dropped out of “One Night Only.”
Currently, both sides are trying to hammer something out that works for everyone and Breezy is even offering hundreds of thousands to a Houston area charity.
We’ll have to see how this situation progresses and if Bailey will take the settlement or take it to court.
