It is no secret that both Elon Musk and Donald Trump don’t like each other much, especially lately when they took the matter to social media and public speaking. All this started when Elon got out of Trump’s business councils because the U.S withdrew from the Paris agreement.
As we all know, ex-President Donald Trump is not shy about being loud and offending anyone, anywhere. He just says what is on his mind. Recently, at a rally in Alaska, he let his followers know what he thinks of the wealthiest person in the world. As usual, he said it without ‘hair on his tongue’. He straight insulted him and called him a ‘bullsh*t artist’.
Donald Trump Slams Elon Musk – You Are Just Another Bullsh*t Artist!
“You know, he said the other day, Oh, I’ve never voted for a Republican. I said I didn’t know that, he told me he voted for me. So he’s another bullshit artist.”
Donald Trump attended the rally in Anchorage, Alaska past Saturday night to endorse Sara Palin and Kelly Pshibaka. He used the opportunity to point out that the republicans are widely censored on all social media and requested an immediate stoppage of the censorship. While speaking about censorship it is impossible not to mention Elon Musk and his charade to obtain the social media Twitter with the sole purpose to stop censorship. The conversation took this turn and the ex-president released his thoughts.
“Elon. Elon. He’s not going to buy Twitter.” – Trump went to the conclusion directly. This conclusion, according to the ex-president is made upon the information he has on the contract between both sides. Apparently, he has this information from firsthand, and he doesn’t like it.
“He’s got himself a mess… You know what he said the other day, ‘Oh, I’ve never voted for a Republican.’ I said I didn’t know that because he told me that he voted for me, so he’s another bullshit artist… He’s not going to be buying it. Although he might later, who knows… He’s got a pretty rotten contract. I looked at his contract. Not a good contract.” – Trump concludes.
Not long after the speech, the thing that Trump hinted – happened. Musk terminates the deal.
There is official information from Musk’s legal team confirming his backing out of the deal due to multiple breaches by the company.
“Mr. Musk is terminating the Merger Agreement because Twitter is in material breach of multiple provisions of that Agreement, appears to have made false and misleading representations upon which Mr. Musk relied when entering into the Merger Agreement, and is likely to suffer a Company Material Adverse Effect.” – the letter sent by Elon’s lawyers says.
