Prince Andrew has been accused of not being honest in light of his sexual assault scandal involving Virginia Giuffre.
Former Royal Protection Officer Accuses Prince Andrew Of Hiding Information-‘He Has Questions To Answer, He’s A Self Absorbed, Obnoxious, Horrible Little Man’
That is according to former royal protection officer Paul Page. Andrew had managed to put an end to this scandal by settling outside of court rather than heading to a trial. Although that was the case, his reputation has been damaged as the court of public opinion did hold him liable.
And things were not helped with reports that Andrew was not cooperating with UK and US authorities in trying to establish his alleged connections involving Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.
With that being said, Paul did not hold Andrew in high regard. In his comments, he said: “Andrew has something to hide and he has questions to answer.
“But I don’t think he will ever be in a position where he will have to answer them because of who he is.” Paul’s comments do hold some weight for the following reasons.
First of all, Ghislaine Maxwell was just sentenced to 20 years in jail. Therefore, if she was alleged to have been guilty, then there are serious question marks over why the same did not happen to Andrew in light of the damning allegations.
Secondly, some may argue that by not setting a consistent standard, it does nothing to discourage others from pursuing similar, heinous acts. And yet, Paul was of the view that Andrew’s position was the difference.
He added: “He’s got the ‘HRH’ title in front of his name, Ghislaine hasn’t – where is she? Jail. Where is he? At home. Simple as that.
“He’s a self absorbed, obnoxious, horrible little man who is disrespectful to those below him.” The social media response was much the same.
A significant proportion of fans were outraged that Andrew had not been held sufficiently accountable. One person wrote: “Anyone else would definitely be looked at and scrutinised.”
