Meghan Markle has been praised for playing a supporting role during Prince Harry’s speech at the United Nations.

That is according to body language expert Darren Stanton. Harry’s speech was done to mark Nelson Mandela International Day, as the Duchess of Sussex spoke on a variety of issues, including poverty and Roe v Wade.
And given that Harry is no longer a member of the Royal family, he is understandably under a different form of scrutiny than he would otherwise have been, had he made a similar statement as a royal.
That is why Meghan’s role was so crucial in ensuring that Harry was able to deal with that tough task.
In his comments, Darren said: “As they sat together, Meghan was seen holding hands and rubbing Harry’s forearm in a maternal manner, like you may see some mothers do with a child.
“It’s a sign of reassurance and reflects how Meghan feels protective of her husband.” This is understandable for the following reasons. First of all, Meghan is an actress by trade.
Therefore, she is used to being in front of people where there is significant pressure, even if it is not comparable to the UN.
Secondly, Meghan was fully aware of what it was like to feel hostility during her and Harry’s recent return to the UK for Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee.
During the course of this process, Harry and Meghan were met with a chorus of boos as they exited the ‘Service of Thanksgiving’ St. Paul’s Cathedral. So the fact that Meghan managed to smile her way through that was heavily praised.
The fans on social media could not agree with Darren’s comments anymore. People felt that Meghan’s presence was vital, as it demonstrated how they rely on each other to maintain a stable relationship.
One person wrote: “This is the couple folk in [the] UK would have us believe is irrelevant, hated and broken. Whose marriage is a sham. Radiant is the word that comes to my mind.”
