Jeff Cobb has been on a roll in the G1 Climax, aside from dropping his opening match to Kazuchika Okada. He’s been proving his insane power – even hitting Bad Luck Fale with a giant Tour of the Islands, and tonight will be keen to do the same to Lance Archer. They had a chance to test the waters last night in a tag team meeting, but tonight it’s one on one – with important points in the A-Block on the line.

Lance Archer & Jeff Cobb Show Why The A-Block Is The Big Boy Block

Archer & Cobb would meet in the middle of the ring, before Cobb ran Archer down with a shoulder tackle. An arm drag from Archer would surprise Cobb, before a standing dropkick sent Cobb to the floor. Archer would tease diving on Cobb, before going to the apron and hitting a cannonball senton off the apron.

Cobb would be driven spine first off the edge of the ring with a chokeslam, and he’s not used to being manhandled like this. Archer dumped him back into the ring, before he’d go old school on the ropes with a rope walk. Cobb would drag Archer down into Spincycle, before getting the stalling vertical suplex. Just two freakish displays of power, but they wouldn’t even get a one count.

Cobb would try to surf on Archer, and but Archer was close to tipping him off. Archer would block a Tour of the Island attempt with a DDT, before a diving shoulder tackle for the two count. Another attempt at Tour of the Islands would be blocked, before Archer would nearly pounce Cobb from the ring.

Black Hole Slam would land, but Cobb was able to kick out at two. Archer would get the crowd behind him as he would look for the chokeslam, and he’d perfectly execute it in the middle of the ring – but was only able to get a two count! Into the corner, Archer would rush at Cobb and crush him – before setting up the Black Out.

Cobb would slip free and hit a German Suplex, and another would soon follow. The third would finally stagger Archer, before Tour of The Islands for the win. An impressive feat, and more proof that this match is an instant victory.

Will Jeff Cobb be able to win the A-Block? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
