YOSHI-HASHI is looking to prove he’s no slouch in this years G1 Climax, and having taken Shingo Takagi to the limit – he’s well on his way to doing just that. However, he will need to claim some big wins, and tonight has a chance to do just that as he goes one on one with the newest member of BULLET CLUB in Juice Robinson. Robinson has been showing a more aggressive side of himself in this tournament, and could match the striking skills of YOSHI-HASHI in this one.
Juice Robinson Strikes Fast
Robinson would rush down YOSHI-HASHI before the bell, not even letting him get his entrance robe off. Some closed fist punches would get Robinson a scolding from the referee – before YOSHI-HASHI was dumped out to the floor. YOSHI-HASHI would be driven hard into the barricade three times, before being dropped chest first on the steel.
Robinson would help YOSHI-HASHI disrobe, before wiping it along his arse and throwing it at the Japanese commentary team. Back in the ring, Robinson would nail a piledriver, but would only get a two count due to a very lax cover from Robinson. A more thought out pinfall, and Robinson could have already hit the pay window.
Robinson would expose the plywood planks of the floor, and look for a career ending piledriver on the floor. YOSHI-HASHI would block, before hitting a hurricanrana into the ring post. Robinson would barely break the referee’s 19 count – and YOSHI-HASHI would batter him in the corner with some of his heavy handed chops.
The chest of Robinson was turning beet red from the assault, proving again that YOSHI-HASHI is one of the hardest hitters in the promotion today. Robinson would be draped over the top rope, before the shotgun dropkick to the back – before a basement dropkick for the one count.
YOSHI-HASHI Drops Robinson On His Head
Robinson would shoot for a lariat, but YOSHI-HASHI would duck before hitting Headhunter. A top rope headhunter would get the two count, before hitting the fisherman buster neckbreaker for another near fall – Robinson using a rope break to survive. Karma would be blocked, before Robinson got a roll up and pulled the tights – but was caught by the referee.
A shoving match between Robinson and the referee would almost see YOSHI-HASHI get the roll up. He’d take a right hand to the jaw, before blocking Pulp Friction and getting a sleeper hold – before hitting the running knee strike. Karma would be set up – but Robinson would counter, and hit Left Hand of God. Pulp Friction would be countered into a release Dragon Suplex, before a southpaw lariat from YOSHI-HASHI.
Karma would land – and YOSHI-HASHI claims his first two points of the tournament. One of the best worked single matches of YOSHI-HASHI’s career, and proof that his hard work over the years is truly paying off.
Could we see YOSHI-HASHI claim singles gold eventually in NJPW? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
