Prince William and Kate Middleton reportedly had a disagreement over their son Prince George’s attire.
William And Kate Had Massive Disagreement Over Prince George
George certainly follows in the footsteps of his father. This was seen during his appearance at the men’s Wimbledon final last month between Novak Djokovic and Nick Kyrgios.
In the picture here, we can see George seated in between his parents, as he is dressed up in a suit like William. But given that temperatures had gotten somewhere in the region of 30 degrees or above, there were question marks over whether this was suitable.
Much in the same way, this came to the fore during the Euro 2020 final involving England and Italy. During the course of the process, there was speculation that there had been conflict over whether George should wear an England t-shirt or his suit.
The latter would end up wearing the suit, but not without some discontent. Royal expert Daniela Elser had this to say: “It has emerged that William and Kate disagreed over what the boy should be allowed to wear for the big game.
“With his father keen on him donning an England jersey and his mother pushing back.” Regardless of what George had decided to wear, the fate of the England team was sealed.
The national team ultimately ended up losing the final in a huge heartbreak, as they came out second best to the Italians on penalty kicks.
The prior social media comments, though, indicated that there was some dissension at the time to George’s appearance. One person wrote: “You said that William, George and Kate looked like a normal family, you sure???
“Who puts a 7 year old going to football in a suit and tie??? He should be wearing an England shirt. He’s a kid.” In reality, as long as William and Kate approve of George’s attire, then that is the most important thing.
So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
My thoughts are that it must be a slow news day if this all you can find to report on. How about a world wide story about two parents who disagreed on what their kid wore in Fargo North Dakota? It’s about as newsworthy as this story.
Brits are Brit! Myyob
It’s are Britts, MYOB
@Noreen Noreen Richard, I am a Britt, only because that is my last name.
The child’s comfort should have been paramount. Prince George is just a young child and should have been dressed appropriately for the weather and the occasion.
I really like Kate, but I feel she got that one wrong. All for the Tee-Shirt! Let him be a kid.
No suit
The child should be dressed according to the weather, not according to his position in the Monarchy.
