R Kelly and Joycelyn Savage are reportedly engaged, despite the musician currently in jail for sex crimes.
Joycelyn Savage’s Family Dispute Claims That She Is Engaged To Sex Offender R Kelly-‘The Family Has Serious Concerns’
According to reports, a letter had been given to Judge Ann Donnelly which referred to Jocelyn as being engaged to Kelly. And yet, Jocelyn’s parents do not believe that this is the case.
This is a very serious issue, especially since Kelly has been found liable. Therefore, the last thing they would want to see is their daughter being associated with someone that had serious issues hanging over them.
With that being said, the family’s legal team has made it very clear that they intend on speaking out against this.
In an official statement on behalf of the family, their attorney Gerald Griggs said: “The family has not been notified of any such change in relationship status with Joycelyn Savage or Robert Sylvester Kelly.
“The family has serious concerns about the validity of such a relationship giving the proven allegations against Mr. Kelly.”
As a result, the family will most likely attempt to make contact with Jocelyn and encourage her to part ways with Kelly if it is the case. Nevertheless, the letter portrays a different account of Kelly.
In the said letter, it demonstrates Joselyn’s support for the musician by indicating that Kelly is not the man that has been described in the courts. Not only that, but the letter allegedly states that Jocelyn is not one of his victims.
The content of the letter indicates the following: “I’m writing this letter in support of Robert in advance of his sentencing, so I can explain to the court that I’m not the victim that the government has portrayed me to be.”
The fans on social media felt that this was a critical piece of information. After all, if Jocelyn was engaged to him, then things have to be reconsidered.
One person wrote: “If they are engaged, can you really call her a victim???” So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
