Regé-Jean Page, the former star of ‘Bridgerton’, has defended Florence Pugh after the actress was blasted for her pink-Barbie dress.
Regé-Jean Page Defends Florence Pugh For Exposing Her Breasts In Pink-Barbie Dress
Florence was subjected to heavy criticism for her dress on the grounds that it was very revealing. In the pictures here, we can see that her breasts are exposed through the sea-through material.
As a result, her critics argued that her clothing was leading to the objectification of women. One such social media user at the time had stated the following: “Probably needs attention.
“Wear a dress that leaves something to the imagination instead of allowing the world to see your chest and nobody will say anything nasty.” As a result, Florence had no choice but to come out and defend herself for the following reasons.
First of all, she expanded on how her clothing was designed to hit back on the expectations that were placed on her in a tough industry. Secondly, she was also of the view that nobody had the right to tell her how to dress.
In response, Florence remarked: “It has always been my mission in this industry to say ‘f–k it and f–k that’ whenever anyone expects my body to morph into an opinion of what’s hot or sexually attractive.”
And now Regé has come to Florence’s defence. The actor blasted a certain subset of the male population, who had condemned Florence’s clothing.
And he urged them to rethink their comments, especially since the actor felt that this type of behaviour had become a widespread problem.
And he let everybody know in no uncertain terms that such behaviour was not going to be tolerated. In his comments, Regé stated: “It isn’t the first time and certainly won’t be the last time a woman will hear what’s wrong with her body by a crowd of strangers.
“What’s worrying is just how vulgar some of you men can be.” So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
