In an incident that is becoming too common for celebrities, Taylor Swift dealt with a stalker who threatened her with bodily harm if she didn’t date him. The incident this time occurred at Swift’s Manhattan residence just before 11 AM on June 12, 2022. Joshua Christian was arrested after he escalated from running into her security on different occasions to showing up at her home.
Taylor Swift Stalker Arrested After Arriving at Her NYC Residence and Threatening Violence if She Turned Him Down
Christian buzzed her apartment and made his threat to hurt the singer if she refused to be with him. Apparently, Taylor Swift was home at the time but her security handled things by contacting the police. Events become fuzzy here as there’s a noticeable gap of time between Joshua Christian showing up at Taylor’s home and his arrest on Friday, July 1, 2022.
Sure, New York is a huge city but the police had a name and the singer’s security told them the identity of the stalker. Hell, they dealt with him multiple times leading up to this incident. Since the police had to track Joshua down to arrest him for stalking, it should be safe to say that he ran after making his threat.
It’s not unusual to hear about an arrest a month after it happened but the guy was just arrested. As in, he evaded police for a time or something. Of course, that brings us to the fact that unfortunately, this is becoming another day ending in “Y” for Taylor Swift and other celebrities.
For Taylor alone, she has had multiple stalkers show up at her different homes around the country. Recently, Ariana Grande’s stalker was snatched up for breaking into her home, and in March, Drake filed for a restraining order against his stalker.
