The Usos would recently unify the Smackdown & RAW Tag Team Championships when they defeated RK-Bro, and are now the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions. Tonight, they will defend those championships against another top tag team in WWE, former champions in The Street Profits. These teams are no strangers to each other, having met countless times – but never with stakes as high as they will find tonight.
Tag Team Excellence Always Follows The Usos In WWE
Before the bell rang, The Usos promised to honor The Bloodline here tonight. Roman Reigns is not set to compete tonight, but will have to keep himself wary as the winner of the main event – as Money in the Bank is a threat to even the Tribal Chief.
Dawkins & Jimmy would start this match, with Jimmy nailing the shoulder tackle. A dropkick to the jaw and a Sky High would follow, before Ford would almost nail one of his gorgeous frog splashes, before Jimmy rolled to the floor. Jey got the tag, before Ford would nail a massive dropkick – before Dawkins back suplexed him onto Jey for a two count.
The Usos would hit a double slam, sending Dawkins to the floor – before Jimmy nailed a dive down to the floor. A double suplex up into the ring post would follow, a unique tag team move that proved to be incredibly effective here tonight. Back in the ring, Dawkins would trade blows with Jey, and got the taste knocked out of his mouth.
Street Profits Fire Up
The Usos would start to really cut the ring in half, with Dawkins mustering up one big strike to open a tag. Jimmy was rocked, and Dawkins made the tag to a fired up Ford… who dove right into a superkick from Jey.
The Usos were right back to control, and Ford was whipped hard into the turnbuckle. Jimmy hit a drive by kick from the floor, a cheap shot but an effective one. Backbreaker into a diving elbow drop would get a two count, and Montez Ford would get choked on the ropes to follow.
Some crossface blows and a rear chinlock would follow, before Ford reached for a tag and was whipped into the mat before Dawkins took a superkick. Ford slipped to the apron and would get an opening, but took a second too long going for the attack and would be levelled with an uppercut.
And Still Unified Tag Team Champions
Ford would manage the suplex on the apron, before Dawkins hit the dive over the top rope. With Jey down on the floor, he’d go to work on Jimmy with a flying elbow. Twisting splash into the enziguri and the Drillbit would follow, getting a two count. Jimmy went to the floor, and Dawkins ran them down with a shoulder tackle.
Dawkins would pounce Jimmy right into a German Suplex from Ford, but only got two. Jey got the tag, but took the Doomsday Blockbuster – and somehow kicked out at two! Dawkins would get Jey up a second time, but Jimmy made the save. Ford took the double superkick, but was able to kick out.
A hurricanrana would send Jimmy to the floor, before Jey would follow. Ford would dive over the post. Jey was fed into the ring, Sky High landed – Ford crashed down from the heavens, but Jimmy made the save. All four men would stand and fight, with Ford and Jey legal.
Dawkins took a superkick on the floor, and was tossed into the timekeeper area. Ford would take a double superkick and the 3D, and this one was over. After the bell, it was revealed his shoulder was off the mat – and have a legitimate gripe about this finish.
