Christian Cage has made many enemies over his long career, and someone who knows him better than anyone is Matt Hardy. They’ve met many times in some of the matches that defined their era of tag team wrestling, but tonight will meet one on one. It’s a storied rivalry of sorts, though Matt Hardy is better known for his issues with Christian’s longtime tag team partner – WWE Hall of Famer, Edge.

Christian Cage is also having to look over his shoulder in case Jungle Boy comes to get his revenge, after promising he’d be the first to get his hands on his former mentor – after Christian tried to end his young career. Jungle Boy would already try to run Christian over earlier in the night, and security would run him off – but can they stop him?

Christian Cage Tries To End The Career Of Matt Hardy – Runs Away From Jungle Boy

Hardy would hit the quick double leg to start, getting some punches in before taking Christian into the corner. Christian would respond with some open hand palm strikes to the jaw, before being driven from the ring with a lariat. Back in the ring, Hardy would hit the powerbomb to get a two count – before rolling from the ring.

Christian would take some blows on the floor, before making the comeback and hitting the knee strike – squishing the head of Hardy between his knee and the steel steps. A neckbreaker in the middle of the ring would follow, before a boot was driven into the throat of Hardy.

Rear chinlock was applied in the middle of the ring, before Hardy fought free. Superplex would be set up, and Hardy would nail the move – but would barely hobble into a pinfall for the two. Downward punches in the corner would land, before Hardy hit the diving elbow to the neck.

Christian would take a back body drop and the diving elbow, but would kick out at two. He’d try to set up the Killswitch, before hitting the diving headbutt instead. Hardy would nail two Side Effects and would set up the table. Christian would drive Hardy through the table, and Killswitch would land in the ring for the finish.

After the bell, he’d look to hit the Con-Chair-To, and Luchasaurus would make the save. Christian thought he had Luchasaurus on his side, but he’d stand with Jungle Boy – who was in the ring, before Christian Cage slipped away like the coward he is.

Ethan Page Is Tired Of Being Overlooked

Ethan Page would hit the ring with a live microphone and a question. Why the hell is Ethan Page not on TV every week? Why the hell doesn’t Ethan Page have an action figure? He feels he deserves better, and the crowd would cheer – but they aren’t supporting him. The fans are there for CM Punk, Orange Cassidy & Eddie Kingston. AEW is leaving money on the table with him, and everyone knows it.

Stokely Hathaway would hit the ring, and would try to talk some sense into his old friend – and would hand him a business card. It seems Page is done with Scorpio Sky, done with Dan Lambert, and could be linked up with Hathaway & Lee Moriarty now. This could be just what it takes for Page to become the star everyone knows he can be.

    The Acclaimed HAVE ARRIVED!

The Acclaimed already beat The Gunn Club in a rap battle, and tonight will look to put them where they truly belong. It’s the first ever dumpster match in AEW history – as these former friends look to settle their differences in a match that Billy Gunn took place in during the Attitude Era. He’s practically an expert in this unique match type, for whatever that’s worth.

Bowens would take out Billy, Colton & Austin with a trash can before the entrance began, and Caster called for his music for the pre-match rap. He intends to make the Ass Boys retire like Vince McMahon, is more positive than Joe Biden’s COVID test, and the crowd loves The Acclaimed.

Gunn Club would get the jump on The Acclaimed, with Colton almost sending Bowens into the dumpster, with Austin crashing the lid on his head. A double powerbomb into the dumpster would follow, but Caster wasn’t in yet. Back body drop would follow, but The Acclaimed grabbed weapons from the dumpster and fought back.

Colton would hit the Road Dogg jabs and hit a Suck It – before a lariat. Bowens was put in the dumpster again, and was shut in – before fighting free. He’d be thrown off the dumpster onto some trash cans, before Caster would be thrown into another dumpster on the stage. A table would be taken out, before Bowens made the save.

Colt-45 on the ramp, before Austin would look to dive off the entrance tunnel. He’d be stranded as Caster came up from behind and chucked him into the dumpster. Colton would follow, after being put through the table with the Mic Drop – and this one was over. Lid was zip tied shut, and The Acclaimed shoved it off the stage.
