This is questionably the most popular trial involving two high-class celebrities in the history of the world. The trial is over, however, the search engines and newsletters still mark record searches and visits exactly to these posts. The trial is over, and both actors got into the limelight by exposing their ‘flaws’ to the world. But this is not all. Recently, rumors emerge that we might witness part two of the popular trial.
Newsletters are reporting that now, weeks after the verdict of the trial, the court might take into consideration Amber Heard’s appeal to the trial due to the ‘wrong’ juror.
Are We Going To See A Round Two Of Johnny Depp vs Amber Heard Trial?
According to ‘Marca’, the jury consisted of one juror that was noticeably older than the rest of them. He was 77 years old when summoned for his juror duty. This signals that there might be a miscommunication between ‘father and son’ and instead of the 52-year-old son, the father came to trial. This is a technical situation that some consider having altered the decision of the jury.
“Ms. Heard was entitled to rely on the basic protection as prescribed by the Code of Virginia. The jurors in this trial would be persons who the court actually summoned for jury service.” – The appeal reads. “In this case, it appears that Juror #15 was not the same individual that the court listed on the panel. Therefore, the 52-year-old who has been on the jury for the past six weeks was never summoned for jury service on April 11 and did not ‘appear on the list’ as required.”
The world is seeing this as a valid reason for a re-trial. If the court accepts the request we might indeed watch the trial unfold once more.
The verdict of the trial reads that Amber Heard is guilty of defaming Depp purposely by posting that Washington Post article. As a result, the court ordered her to pay Depp $10 million in damages.
Since then, there has been a whole lot of happenings surrounding the verdict. First, Heard and her legal team appeals and questions the verdict. Then, Amber declares bankruptcy. And now finally, the public accessed the unsealed documents from the trial.
The unsealed documents make it difficult to determine whether the verdict is righteous or not. There are messages between Johnny Depp and some of his friends that may signal some sort of harassment.
Taking the unsealed documents into consideration, would you say that we should see a reprise of the trial?
