Britney Spears’ father, Jamie Spears, was psychologically abusive to Britney Spears during childhood, and during the period when he had her under ‘conservatorship’.
‘I was scared and fearful. I didn’t really do anything. All I do remember is I had to do what I was told.’ – Britney remembers.
Britney Spears’ Father Fat-Shamed Her Every Day During ‘Fearfull’ Childhood And Conservatorship Period
In a recent audio recording, Britney Spears opens up about her traumatizing experience during childhood. The audio clip has 22 minutes full of confessions that are really hard to believe. The mega pop star speaks about her childhood, as well as about the infamous ‘conservatorship’ days. Now that both her childhood and her ‘locked away’ days are over, she feels free to open up to the world.
“All I do remember is I had to do what I was told. They told me I was fat and every day I had to go to the gym, I had to just, and I’d never remember feeling so demoralized. And just, they made me feel like nothing. And I went along with it because I was scared. I was scared and fearful.” – she says in the confession-like clip.
Her father allegedly used every method available to him to demoralize Britney and destroy her confidence. The ‘fat-shaming’ and the appearance complex that Jamie Spears ‘welded’ in her mind is the least of what he did to her.
Britney says that it is like history repeating itself once she fell into the ‘conservation’ period. She had to go through all the same psychological trauma inflicted on her by her father once more. She refers to her father as someone who is a ‘control freak’ who seeks an explanation for each of her moves. While with him, she is unable to make any decision on her own.
‘Honestly, I just I didn’t give a f**k anymore.” – Britney refers to her days in conservatorship. “Because I couldn’t go where I wanted to go. I couldn’t have the nannies that I wanted to have; I couldn’t have cash – and it was just demoralizing. So I was kind of like in this conspiracy thing, of people claiming and, like, treating me like a superstar.”
“But yet.” – she adds “they treated me like nothing.”
Britney then reflects on the lack of privacy that was completely bothering her. She says that she had someone monitoring her at all times. Someone hired by her dad to do so. Regardless of if it was a doctor, security officer, or a simple ‘snitch-maid’ – she did not have a minute of privacy.
“No privacy, no door. Nothing.” – She claims. “How did they get away with it? And what the f**k did I do to deserve that? I couldn’t even smoke cigarettes, people on death row can smoke cigarettes. No cash, no cigarettes, and no door for privacy – it changed me.”
The famous singer reveals that Jamie forced her to work seven days a week with no ‘working hours’. She had a very strict working schedule, and as a price at the end of the day, she got to watch TV.
“I did work seven days a week – no weekends were off. From eight to six I work sometimes at nine o’clock I’d be able to watch a movie.” – She explains her traumatic experience. “The whole thing that made it really confusing for me is these people are on the street fighting for me, but my sister and my mother aren’t doing anything. To me, it was like they secretly honestly liked me being the bad one — like I was messed up, and they kind of just liked it that way. Otherwise, why weren’t they outside my doorstep, saying, ‘Baby girl, get in the car. Let’s go.’”
Instead of being the support, she lacks in life, her family appears to be a bunch of ‘gold diggers’ showing interest only in her money. The only consolidation that the singer has experienced is from her fans.
However, this did last until 2016. Then, she started pushing back on the oppressors.
Britney also refers to the time when she was out from the psychiatric hospitalization. She says that right after the release, her father did not try to consolidate her at all. Instead of being happy that his daughter is OK after all, being happy that she managed to win the battle, he started giving her remarks about her looks.
“You’re fat. Daddy’s gonna get you on a diet and a trainer, and you’re gonna get back in shape.” – the 70-year-old allegedly told Britney.
Having this mental picture of herself not being good enough has been pushing down Britney for a long time. Not having self-esteem and not being able to ‘lean on’ anybody for a long time, took its toll.
The 22-minute audio clip left many of her fans heartbroken and many of them shared comments that encourage the singer to continue her life.
“Damn that poor woman needs a cuddle from someone who actually cares about her. They stole her life from her for so long.” – one fan commented.
And she most certainly needs that hug. They abused and fat-shamed her, did not respect her, and her close family didn’t support her. And most certainly this takes its toll on people. At least her fans understand that.
“Britney Spears is the real deal. She doesn’t want money or publicity for sharing her story. This girl only wants to help others who’ve experienced similar events as she has. She only wants to help those who have eternal trauma like her. I just love her so much.”
“I was absolutely crying at the end of it. I’ve listened to and it was heartbreaking hearing what she has gone through.”
