Elon Musk is a billionaire and a world-class businessman. The Tesla, and SpaceX owner tweeting about psychedelic use. What is he doing speaking about drug use? What is his knowledge in this field?
Doug Drysdale is the CEO of Cybin Corporation. A Canadian Psychedelic pharma company. He states that these drugs have great economic potential. Taking that they are used for medical purposes only. Also, the benefit of their use for patients is enormous.
Drysdale is a person that is responsible for attracting major investments in his field of work. And he often uses social media platforms to express his thoughts on the matter.
“Have you looked at the pharmaco-economic potential of psychedelics to massively reduce the $2.5T cost of mental health? Wall Street is missing out.” – Drysdale states.
Elon Musk Is Pro-Psychedelics Use For Medical Uses – Instead Of Antidepressants Use Psychedelics!
It is almost like Elon Musk is waiting for such tweets, so he can express his thoughts.
“Psychedelics and MDMA can make a real difference to mental health, especially for extreme depression and PTSD. We should take this seriously.” – The billionaire says.
“One of the most important tweets.” – One tweeter user notices.
Elon likes to comment on stuff he is not an expert at. He is a person that has really strange views of the world. At least when you are looking at it as a common person. Free speech absolutist,
Some of his ides and plans are indeed beneficial for mankind and are something that we need to strive for. However, some are just so controversial that it is almost cringe to read them. Recently he replies to Marc Andreessen’s tweet stating that he knows many people who benefit from psychedelics use.
“Prescribed psychedelics will replace amphetamines and SSRIs over the next decade. Although I hope it’s sooner than that.” – is the statement that Andreessen re-tweets. And Elon is fast to reply. “I’ve talked to many more people who were helped by psychedelics & ketamine than SSRIs & amphetamines.”
Elon Musk has great credibility to speak and share his opinion on topics in his expertise. Artificial intelligence, automotive industry problems, the economy, and innovations in the technical world are some of them. However, sensitive topics such as medical use for illegal substances are definitely not in his domain.
“I’ve talked to many people who get their medical information from medical professionals.”
This is a tweet as a reply to Elon’s statement. And we couldn’t agree more. Elon Musk should be taken seriously, but only when he is talking about stuff in his expertise. Leave the medicine to the doctors!
