Ezra Miller’s issues seem to have reach a wall and now the Fantastic Beasts lead has issued a public apology for their actions. They have also said that they would pursue mental health treatment to deal with said issues.
Ezra Miller Issues Public Apology as Calls for Their Removal from “Justice League” Intensify – Will Seek Mental Health Treatment
Without going deeply into months of misdemeanors, Miller went from menacing in Hawaii while traveling around with a young activist—which was revealed back in June 2022. Then they created an extremely questionable living situation for the activist resulting in their parents looking for them.
Miller also made a mother uncomfortable while they were armed and a video of them allegedly choking a woman and yelling at them resurfaced as well. The issues were wrapped up in a pretty mild fashion with a felony burglary charge for stealing alcohol from a neighbor’s residence in Vermont.
Enough Was Enough for Warner Bros…and They Had a Plan
Observers are pointing to Warner Bros having had enough after having to scrap the almost-finished Batgirl film and deal with the constant hits coming from Ezra Miller and their legal run-ins. Miller is signed on with Warner Bros Pictures for the DC Comics films as the lead in The Flash and as one of the leads in the Justice League films.
Basically, they’re important to what that the studio is trying to do with the franchise—The Flash alone was a $200 million project—but the antics have to be reined in. In the public apology via Variety, Ezra Miller said:
“Having recently gone through a time of intense crisis, I now understand that I am suffering complex mental health issues and have begun ongoing treatment. I want to apologize to everyone that I have alarmed and upset with my past behavior. I am committed to doing the necessary work to get back to a healthy, safe and productive stage in my life.”
Obviously, Warner Bros supports this plan by Miller and the studio had a backup plan involving Miller doing an apology tour and “limited press,” according to Hollywood Reporter. However, it was pointed out that the end goal of getting the core DC films out was always going to go through regardless of what happened with Miller.
